Hate to say this but I wonder about some city folk who don’t like a neighbor because of his/her political beliefs and waiting for some chaos moment as an excuse to kill them.
We can get above a moment like this because we all have a skill that can come into play to get through the coming mayhem. So and so knows how to hunt and fish, great..that feeds the community.
My wife can cut hair and give a barber shave. A haircut feels good moving forward.
some people know how to cook over a fire. Some people know how to grow a quick garden. Some people can sew clothing. Some people are good at coordinating a community or neighborhood into making good use of people’s resources like a leader.
You will die by pillaging your neighbors resources but stand survival by combining each other’s strengths to barter, hunt, and fish together as a community. If we fight and kill each other they win. When we don’t and realize we’ve been played, we get pissed and we turn the tables and kill them.
