Obama's mother went to a doctor in Indonesia with stomach pain in late 1994 and was diagnosed with indigestion. She went to a hospital in New York in early 1995 where they said it was in fact cancer. She died just a few months later. A year after her death Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate.

How interesting that both Obama's parents would die in brutal and unexpected ways just before his career took a new direction.

For those who didn't see this last night, consider this as it applies to Nikki Haley electability:

here are reasons why if the 2024 Election was held today and Nikki Haley was the nominee and Biden for the

Democrats, imo she would win and the 6% shown by the polling data is correct:

1) She is a woman, and there has never been a female POTUS and for that matter only one nominee, Hilary Clinton.

Imo the country and especially women in general would LOVE to have a woman serve as POTUS at this juncture.

Hilary came close but her overall personality and questions about her led to her defeat.

That doesn't apply to Nikki Haley as she is highly respected, very intelligent, well educated and very experienced especially

in the area of the critical of dealing with foreign countries and their leaders!!

2) Related to the above, unlike Trump, she comports herself in a very classy, dignified, polite and Presidential manner.

This is very important because it has already been established in the 2016 Election and especially the 2020 one, Trump trails

significantly with women especially college-educated ones.

Thus for me, it is a no-brainer that if a woman like Nikki Haley would appeal to them and especially as opposed to

Trump who not only do they not care for in his own right as a person but better because they have not just another man but

an actual woman, who is one of them who has the quality and leadership abilities they are seeking- doesn't get any

better than that!!

When you couple that with the fact that the overwhelming number of people don't want Biden to run for lots of reasons,

mostly his incompetency and age, you have added reasons for women as well as the general population to want to jump

on the Haley bandwagon if she is the nominee.

And let's not also forget that besides the fact that Nikki is a woman, she is also 26 years younger than Trump and closer to thirty

with Biden!!

KEEP IN MIND THAT OVERALL OVER 1/2 OF THE ELIGIBLE VOTING POPULATION IS COMPOSED OF WOMEN,

WHICH CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT BE MINIMIZED!!

Nikki Haley is as relevant as the other R candidates in the race . She’s running for second place unless the desperate attempt to keep Trump off the ballot using the 14th Amendment miraculously succeeds .

Think about how many people will vote Trump as a write in or just stay home if he is off the ballot due to disqualification and what it will do to any other R representative’s chances in a general .

As for her electability , your post about her being a woman and polite in a Presidential manner mentions nothing about her economic policy that will resonate with conservative populism . The policy that carried the Rust Belt in 2016 .

With that said , she’s in a group I would still vote for because she’s much better than the alternative .

No offense but I consider your first two paragraphs irrelevant as they have nothing to do with what I offered which is based on

the polling data.

In addition, the second paragraph begs the question and poisons the well ,is pure conjecture/speculation

and again has nothing to do with what the polling data reveals about Nikki Haley and the points I made.

Your third paragraph addresses her electability a bit more.

However, what you did not mention is that her policy as well as how she comes across are BOTH factored in with

the 6% lead over Biden in a potential matchup, which I interpret to mean that it is acceptable.

And I like and highly respect your last line and definitely agree compared to Biden for sure!!

You and I go back a long way and have had some nasty exchanges along the way mainly about our 100% differing

opinions about Trump, but that said you are an upfront and sincere person with your opinions and stand by them
