I'm sorry if my post was taken as a promotion. I just felt that quoting the source was proper.

Ugly,

That info is so old. You were banned for trying to stir up crap, instigating, and name calling...

Why should we allow you back if you don't even understand why you were banned before?

How do we know you will behave?

Very encouraging news. I would like to see a general accountant type that the group along with the books could designate that would watch a books balance sheet. Bank deposits vs player account sizes, etc.

That would be ideal, but I can't see a lot of books letting a third party have that kind of info.

Of course, any book that would allow an outsider to audit them would have everyone's utmost confidence.

Auditors won't say much and may not serve a great purpose. Due to liability and limited scope of duty they will just say we think whatever this book says, whether it be their hold percentages or bank account amounts have been checked and appear to be correct. Now since these books aren't going to make these numbers publicly available, there really is no service a respected audit firm can provide that would give the confidence people want.

I would gladly do it and sign all the confidentiality papers in the world to keep it to myself since I already have done that before with a few books. Still though many would be claiming I was biased and so what would that do for readers' peace of mind?

I'll be the auditor and represent the players, or let Drunkguy do it. I think players will trust known posters.

Mutual funds, banks, publicly traded funds send reports out all the time to their customers, etc. The more books could move this way, the better. Their books are audited and sportsbooks could do the same thing.

looks like the right step. I imagine security will be high for such a distinguished group.

Agains, I will agree with Shack and say that a book that would step forward and agree to be audited by a 3rd party would be ideal.

Will it happen in our lifetimes, probably not.

But that is the only way we could ever truly trust a book. eventually, when this industry matures and is truly regulated, that will be the norm. Until then, we will be stuck with stiff books.
