Tech has only played 3 teams from the Big Twelve, in the last 10 years Nebraska- lost to them in the Orange Bowl, Texas- Tech blew them out in the Sugar Bowl, T&M- tech beat them at A&m last year. Tech only played 3 teams from the SEC- LSu- Beat LSU, ALabama- Crushed Bama in a Bowl a couple years ago, Tenn- back in 1994 lost to tEnn. in the peach bowl.
No wonder Teams from the Big 12 and SEC will not schedule them Home&home. 4-2 against the mighty Big 12 and SEC. Take a look at Big East bowl records and you will find a similar result against other conferences.

Seymour your twisting my words ...I never compared VT to Miami or FSU...I don`t even particularly care for VT...But adding them to the ACC helps all involved...Va Tech will get more recruiting exposureas well...Can you imagine what Beamer could do with Miamis recruits year in and out....When VICK was there VT was very close to the top...Miami had their down years, how soon people forget they weren`t anything for several years..Now it looks like FSU may be on the decline some...Nothing wrong with a perrenial top 15, geesh!
