HOLY CRAP!

I just checked my VIPsports account and I guess because of their slightly confusing way of picking games (put how much you risk and also click the bubble for the team you choose), I accidentally clicked on "Milwaukee" instead of "Washington." Suffice to say that I was expecting to see ~$900 as my balance and instead I see $5,504.33! I guess with rush to get my play in before the game started, I pushed the wrong button! I will still record my 6th play as a LOSS, but it doesn't matter since all that counts is the size of my bankroll! I plan on putting another play down for tonight....but it will likely be a smaller play.

Actually, after thinking about it, I figured that if I win the Phoenix game, I would have a balance around $11,800 so I have decided to just pass for the rest of the night on betting. Who knows what'll happen if the Suns blow it in the 2nd half and can't keep it close. Hopefully, it won't come to that though.

This damn Houston game is irritating the hell out of me...Houston has hit 2 key 3s that sent the game into the 2nd and then the 3rd OT. I just need someone to win....

The way I see how today was (as in, not feeling bad about how today went), at least I am playing with money that technically I shouldn't even have. I bet on the wrong team on accident and ended up on the better end of it. Hopefully if Atlanta can pull off the cover, I can do something with the $5000 or so I'll have in my account.

After 3OTs....I finally get to cash in on the Atlanta game! That was a tough one to watch...thank goodness Terry was hitting his jumpers.

So all in all I ended up going 2-4 for the day to bring me to a final record of 5-4. However, I did end up making a nice mistake in what I actually picked, so my ending balance for the day is $5,304.33. It is much better than $0 (which it probably should be).

I remember how I planned on only picking the top plays of the day in order to hit my goal of $10K. I strayed from that today and ended up paying the price...I ended up betting just to bet. So I'll see if something looks good tomorrow...otherwise, I'll wait.

I feel like although the Heat have been hot at home, the performance of the Trailblazers on the road has been impressive as well. The difference is that the Heat have won their last 3 home games ATS against Denver, Atlanta, and Utah - not that impressive. The Trailblazers on the road have won their last 3 ATS against Golden State, Los Angeles (Lakers), and Utah - all solid teams at home. Looking at the Away record of Portland, the general public may overlook the fact that the Trailblazers have actually gone 7-3 in their last 10 on the road. I think that tonight we'll see an end to the blowouts that the Heat have been dishing out. GLTA

Trailblazers go on a key 14-0 run to start the 4th quarter to take a game away from the Heat on the road. As expected, the Trailblazers were able to continue their success on the road while the Heat failed to live up to the hype surrounding the blowouts they had been dishing out to average teams at home. All I need now is for the Memphis game to cover!! Too bad I'm watching a horrible 3rd quarter by the Grizzlies where they have given up an 8 pt half time lead.

Arggh...a loss. A critical shooting by Voshon Lenard to give James Posey a 3 pt. play that messed up the scoring differential. So instead of the game going into possible OT (and hopefully the cover), the Grizzlies end up winning by 3. Horrible....

Thinking about placing a bet on tonight's college B-ball game....however, usually when there is a late night game, I tend to do poorly. Vegas usually counts on people like me to bet for the sake of betting.....we'll see.

Sometimes you can overthink things and it end up shooting yourself in the foot. The fact is that UNLV has been playing great at home, beating their opponents by large margins. Wyoming on the other hand has been playing poorly on the road. So although I was hesitant to place a large bet on such a large public favorite, I can only think back to the last late college B-ball play where I did overthink and the Utes covered at home. So here goes...a fishy play that I hope to pull off. Of course, this is incredibly bad money management placing as much money as I do on my NBA plays on a late night chaser, but sometimes you just go for it....I just hope I don't end up paying the price in the end. My posted record is 7-5. The money is just listed for me personally since technically I probably wouldn't have it if I had not made the mistake (which was a $2400 bet, not $5000). Anyway, I do have $9300 in my account right and I'm just looking for one more win before I cash out.

2400$ bet is a 5K swing which is what I meant...anyway...regardless of the 'error' your experiment failed (had you not made the rror)...congrats on getting lucky though...It has happened to me a few times...heartbreaking when it loses...joyful if it wins...

Nonetheless for the purposes of this thread...the experiment should be OVER...
