you should set them up online. several places that will book you action for a small fee. could be worth it for you. no adding up totals, no paper trail, etc

why did you quit booking?

lucky you didn't take baseball, your 10,000 would have been gone

You stick to keeping pickels on the shelf and making sure the slurpie machine works.

Man. I can't tell you how much I hate this gas business.
Long hours, low margins and a business totally dependant on high volume.

I have always been in the restaurant/bar business and thought I would try this out a year ago for less stress. Big mistake. I have to admit the customers are a little surprised when they see a grey haired white guy behind the counter.:missingte

The bright side is I have it on the market and there is a lot of interest. This is why I want to establish a customer base with the booking in case I sell it soon.

God, you are an idiot. Good idea to advertise you are breaking the law on the internet. Also, I can tell how < sharp > you are not taking parlays from a bunch of square kids. Jesus Christ.

Are you just not maximizing this store enough? Is it on a very busy street? Gas stations don't make their money on gas...it's the extra $3-$5 a person spends on snacks and food with each fill up that takes the cake. Heck the next time I see a little debbie ho ho cake that I think was $0.25 for years ago now being priced at $1.00....I'll puke...after I eat one! LOL. Is your store nice and clean or isn't their any pride in it.

If and when you get out of mommy and daddys basement and start facing responsiblities and bills come and talk to me. Until then you have no clue.

As far posting on the internet is concerned...I think the RCMP have bigger fish to fry than some Gas Station guy taking bets from 10 guys.:finger:

The store is fine and I have cleaned it up...you could eat off the floor. I have a decent corner location but when you consider the hours I put in...it's not worth it to me.

seriously the gas station next door to me makes a minimum of $100/wk of myself and my friends alone. i buy at least 10 of those arnold palmer iced teas, sun flowers seeds, cigarettes, water, candy, and cigars. they have recently expanded cause of us i believe

Why would anyone in Canada in there right mind post up to a local where you can use any offshore out?

+ The inconvenience of having to drive to a gas station to get lines and place wagers.

Maybe these dudes have no idea what the internet is?

they dont grow em too smart in canuckville...

Sounds like a total pain in the ass all around. As others have said, just set them up with a PPH shop

(you'll probably get more action out of them anyhow since they don't have to come down to your gas station)

Print out parlay cards and shade the odds on bigger parlays... squares don't know any better and if someone doesn't like the weak odds, tell 'em to find another place to play...

3T 6-1
4T 9-1
5T 15-1
6T 25-1
7T 40-1
8T 75-1

"Square" up the lines and allow the card to be used at any time right up until kick off with one major point... CASH ONLY, must be turned in with card. Phone in parlays must use current line.

This gives you a small roll heading into the weekend to sell off those trouble games. Make sure you are with a book that can buy more than 1 point, as sometimes you will have to take odds off a bit, if you're getting heavy square action.

Straight bets of course always use the live line.
