My instinct and head is telling me Illinois is going to get shredded because their defense is really that bad. I hope that's not what happens but think about it, they had a bad defense last year and lost two Sr. starters and good pass rushers on the D-line, their only play maker and leader at MLB Britt Miller, a first round draft pick and lock down corner who routinely bailed out the LB's on missed tackles, and now they loose their new MLB Martez Wilson for the seaon. Wilson is not a good player but their best option for MLB.

They lost starting CB Miami Thomas for the season as well so now you have a very thin and young secondary, thin and young LB's, and absolutely nobody at safety which was the weakest spot coming into the season.

D-line is decent but they can't make up for what's behind them. That's why they have gotten torched by below average QB's so far. Pryor will have wideopen receivers all day.

I'm usually wrong when I disagree with ND2000 but I'm pretty good when I bet against the Illini.

The offense may come out of their shell more now but I just don't see how they will keep the pace since they are facing the best D they have seen so far.

I'm putting $100 on Ohio St. and if I loose, I will be happy the Illini aren't as bad as I think they are. Really curious to see the total on this as well.

Lastly, Ian Thomas is going to move over and play MLB for the injured Martez Wilson. Coaches wanted Evan Frierson to look good enough in practice to step in but it doesn't look like he was ready yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the public is on Ohio St. so far here and the line went from -14.5 to -14, which is slight reverse line movement. May hold on to my money until I figure this one out...

I think OSU beats the shit out of Ill.
I think Ill might have problems scoring. The Bucks will be geared up for them on defense. With a banged up Juice they might have real problems moving the ball.

OSU 31-9

For what it's worth, Top Vegas oddsmaker Kenny White thinks Illinois is a live dog. He said he expects a real close game when he was discussing this game on Brian Blessing's radio show yesterday out here in the desert.

Not really, seeing how the public ALWAYS takes the favorite. I've been tracking RLM the past 2 weeks and in both weeks, RLM on the dog has went 8-8.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but the public is on the favorite from what I can tell...

Quick update: there is a 60% chance it could be a wet day in Columbus Saturday so you would think this could only help the Illini in terms of not getting blown out, unless TP is good at throwing a wet football that is.

RS freshman Evan Frierson is now starting at MLB for Martez Wilson now per Scout.
