one really needs to know what one is doing with helium.....the brain damage and muscular damage issue upon waking is a major deterrant.....sort of like carbon monoxide poisoning, the old, put a hose in your tailpipe and suck it ain't as easy as the movies make it out unless you have an old vehicle....
I agree with the helium thing. I remember seeing some video on the net a while back of some guy killing himself with helium. He even talked about what setting you need to avoid brain damage.
Cyanide is probably up there too. If it's anything like in the movies, the person dies instantly. That would be a painless way to go.

yeah, cyanide is cool.....i was reading a book a couple years back where some female spy was overseas, and she had a cyanide tablet taped to the roof of her mouth. the whole idea was, if the terrorists capture you, use your tongue to bust the pill, and death occurs in a couple seconds.....

I read about this lady who committed suicide while broadcasting it online. She took sleeping pills. The thing I didn't know about that was that she took some kind of liquid that prevented her from puking up the pills. I guess ingesting a ton of sleeping pills will usually cause your stomach to puke them up.
