I've never been to one in vegas, but it has been on my to-do list for a while....even my wife is pumped up to get all dressed up and go see a big time fight....maybe we should save our $ for something else....

I saw klitchsko fight at staples a while back but it was kind of weak....

i wouldnt get the wife all dressed up unless you are ringside first few rows. otherwise casual dress is fine.

Been to many great fights at Madison Square Garden in the 60's & 70's when the Garden was considered the Mecca of Boxing.
Saw Cassius Clay vs Doug Jones on Clays run to the championship in the early 60's & George Foreman

Buddy of mine paid a ton of money for seats close to the ring at the last Pacquaio fight. Was worried about getting ripped off but the seller offered to walk them to the ticket person to make sure they got in. Everything was fine, tickets scanned, arena said they were legit. Then about 15 minutes before the main event other people with the same tickets came for the spot and my buddies were booted to the nosebleeds. Arena wouldn't do anything to refund the tickets. Yet another reason I'd rather watch it on TV.

Saw Big George Foreman in probably about his 8th or 9th pro fight on his way up at the Garden against Irish Jack O'Halloran in the early 70's. Foreman knocked him out early, we were about in the 7th row and in a bout after the Foreman fight O'Halloran came back dressed in street clothes seated in the front row to view the final fight. My brother recognized O'Halloran & ponted him out to me saying 'I think that's O'Halloran over there but it's pretty hard to recognize him when he isn't horizontal. A few months later Foreman was at it again
at Madison Square Garden against Gregorio Peralta it was Foreman's first real test a good fight Foreman got the decision.
We knew the New Jersey Boxing Commissioner at the time Abe Green and he always gave us free passes to the fights, great memories.

Waste of time unless you are ringside. Better off going to a viewing party or skipping it all together.

Ringside gets easy in and out. Not worth it otherwise to me.
