This isnt NOTHING compared to last year. I remember you couldnt even play certain teams full game. The Mets, the Marlins at times, the Brewers for a stretch in June until CC and the other ACE started pitching 8 and 9 innings regularly. Oh how can I forget about the Tigers....yeh this year has definately been MUCH better than last to say the least.
Feel for you on this, dude. I'm in Des Moines and just had a conversation yesterday with someone who constantly visits his best friend in KC - who drags him to Royals games. Ranted about how bad this team was. So when I saw your pick, I did have to take a deep breath before plunging.
I mean there are bad teams, and then there are bad teams. Cleveland is at least consistent and you can spot bright days with them. KC, well, I just think they're a bit too chaotic to play.
I had about $450 in action with KC tonight, including parlays. Alas.
In any event, everything has been crazy this week. Even Ace-Ace hit his first true loss tonight.
Come on, going into this game you know:
a) the Royals bullpen is a joke; and
b) the one part of their bullpen that is not a joke is also probably not available today (Soria pitched 3 of the last 4 days and had arm problems to start the season).
Even if they had made it to the 9th with the lead I doubt they would have brought it home.
