First there is a market for locked iPhones on EBay. Few hundred bucks.

That being said, if you want to be a good guy the person you talked to at Verizon is an idiot. iPhones have the IMEI numbers engraved in them which Verizon could look up and find the owner (and also see if they have other lines listed for contact). Now, Verizon won't be able to give you their name or any info but what they should do if they aren't lazy is try and contact the person and give them your number so you two can get in touch.

I gave uber the 5 trips I had that night. They said they reached out to them, and they will contact me directly if it was theirs.

I'll never forget my first experience with true ghetto. When I was 23 lost my iphone at a ghetto club (it's alaska they are all ghetto). I figured Id just call it with my work phone and get it back. Called numerous times than text the number couple times. Finally 3 days later they responded asking for $300. I could not believe it. Who does that!

Ok, so Uber says no one reported nothing, Verizon is no help when I went to the store. I want to sell this thing legally, and apply it to a debt I owe. Advice?
