You guys are idiots.
1. Why would NFL care who Vegas needs to win
2. Do you actually believe something like that could be kept secret
3. Vegas is not run by mobsters anymore

This is not the 70's
Morons

It was bad back during the 70's....even the gangsters got in on the action back.....Fact is, if you want to know when the real fixes were in, go back to the 50's
(CCNY, Brooklyn College, LIU, NYU, and yes mighty Kentucky) involving point-shaving in Basketball....These were scandals of major proportion.

Don't say that "fixes can't happen. Different sports, different mechanics but "fixes" none-the-less.

Long snapper gets a holding penalty....weird...middle of the line...never seen it called in 15 years of watching football.

"not run by mobsters anymore"

That's just fuckin hilarious, so the corporate guys are choirboys ?? There a hundred times worse than any mobsters from back in the day. Greedy fucks that charge for everything now in Vegas. Money is their God, and they'll do anything to get it.

Anyway Hache so far you're right on, 3 holding calls on Denver, 2 so conveniently called on 1st down plays no less. And how many holds on Houston ?? Looks like lotsa tickets are gonna go down tonite.

Does seem that the refs are "shading" Houston. 2 penalties that cancel out 2 first downs and then another to help give better field position for Houston. Unless you are paying attention to what is going on you would not really notice it.

Also have never seen a long snapper get a holding penalty, see far worse let go yesterday than the 2 Okung holds....

Definitely setting up for Houston cover. They just covered the 1st qtr. and will probably cover 1st half also..

All Denver, 1st qtr and half. Vegas just won some money with that 1st qtr.

Also those penalties kill any momentum Denver may generate and Houston gets the ball more...

tldr

No Denver will not cover 8.5 but they will win the game. See it all the time in the NFL, win but don't cover. Same with NBA. These two sports are fixed, does anyone know how; no they don't.

They absolutely are though. And thats okay, know that going in and know which side you need to be on to deal with the fix.

Vegas casinos don't really care about sports outcomes for their bottom lines. Majority of profits from Casino comes from the floor games. That's not speculation it's a fact. I'm sure they want to win, but having a big day in sports isn't what built the city out there. I wonder sometimes what the actual number of what is wagered in vegas vs local bookies and offshore.

The NFL is an entertainment franchise even the commissioner has said that in press releases. I think it would be very possible for someone over the refs for example to point out specific things one team does and indicate that needs to be called prior to games happening. A flag here and a flag there has major impacts on games. Not saying last nights game was fixed but think about all the holding calls for example. Not saying they were not legitimate penalties, but it looked like holding was a major focus for that crew which killed numerous drives both ways. If you call holding to the letter almost every NFL play has it, especially special teams play which seems like you always see a flag on now.

Strange stuff seems to happen in football in general though. Some game theory people think it is just based on the actual football. Quite honestly it bounces funny and is hard to hold on to in certain situations. Leads to turnovers etc.. which are hard to predict.

Just a few thoughts, and my two cents to add. At the end of the day good luck to everyone. May we all be on the right end of the crazy endings.
