Still trying to weed out all the info on this type of service. I do know that Local Gov. are trying to stop it... of course so are the Taxi comm.

But they have raised Plenty of $$$$$$$$$$$
and are valued for like $40 Bil

BB, why don't you give some of your regulars your cell # and cut Uber out?

Our town has outlawed it and is pretty serious in the enforcement. Any non-taxi caught picking someone up for a "fare" is given a ticket on the spot. I'm guessing the ticket is for operating a taxi service without the proper licenses, etc.. it's probably easier to enforce in a town like mine because there is one main area that every one eats and drinks so the cops know where to look for these Uber drivers.

Ive never used one but my friends have said good things about it.

Our town has an ordinance that requires every cab to actually have an operational video camera inside the taxi. So the city thought it was unfair to let Uber drivers bypass these rules and others.

This is a good question. I realize it wouldn't really be feasible to do this for like 20-50 people but say you got a few regular business travelers who like you, couldn't you just cut the middle man out with them? I doubt they would care and since their trips are scheduled in advanced you would have ample time to plan around them.

Probably wouldn't be smart to do it for more than a few people though. You never know who could start snitchin, even Sammy the Bull snitched

Ubers cashless and that is what everyone likes. Business travelers get a detailed summary of the trip via email within seconds of the end trip. I do have regulars I pick up, but they still have to request it through the APP.

Is there a limit to how far you are allowed to drive?
If someone got in your car and said take me to Las Vegas or thousands of miles away could you do it?

Uber has enough clout now to where they should get into a gas program like those truck driving companies do.
Anyone who drives with uber would have a partnership with ABC gas company to where anyone with an Uber card gets X amount discount when they fill up.

You can take them any where. Furthest I've went was from UC to Miami of Ohio. 45 miles, bad thing is, you come empty back

I wish, or cut their commission a little. They charge 20%

If you pick up one person, do they sit in the front or back?

Do you have to have one of those mustaches on your car? Do you take it off when you're not working?
