blue, it just depends on what type of guy you are. If you don't hedge, and Philly pulls of an upset, will you be able to forgive youself?!:icon_conf

Though it is a very generous prize, 5000 with a rollover isn't the same as 5000 cash. For instance, you win the 5k but lose your 2500 hedge, you are out 2500 cold cash in exchange for 5k you can't have for quite awhile, if ever.

Congrats on getting there! :toast:

NE as 7 point fav, I would hedge but to win only 2 dimes on Eagles plus. You have the best of the bet. I would short myself on Phily and root for NE, still making a couple dimes no matter. I think Phily can Win.

It's not your money blue, so don't sweat it too much. You already said you layed "some" on Philly +7. If you layed about $2500 on Philly +7 you're obviously going to win $2500 in the Pats clear the 7, or $2250 if Philly pulls the upset. But the main thing here is you could win both with the middle and end up with $7250. And then there's always the possibility of a push in which you win the orinal $5,000.

right now, i have less than $1,000 on philly +7. as someone stated, the rollover is a factor here. still deciding on whether to hedge more with the 7 and/or take the philly money line.

the play i really like is the under. already got that at 48 for a decent chunk.

Congrats on the win Blue (Pats will win). Anyway you could have taken the Eagles ML at current prices to guarantee over $3500 whoever wins.

I would think some combination of Eagles +7 (7.5 buy the half) and ML depending upon how you feel about the possible middle and how you feel about the chance of a Pats win. The percentage and how you hedge is very much a personal decision.

here is the question...do i hedge with philly on the money line, with the points, or both? i already got down on philly +7 and also under 48. i was thinking about hitting the money line too...but i haven't decided.

suggestions?

Whatever you do, awesome job! Probably the wise thing to hedge, but then again, how do you feel about the Pats' chances? Anyway, good luck.

Your wrong with the above quote. Lets see he wins the 5k with patriots but lose hedge, the hedge would be for apx 1 dime and not 2500.00

I believe Eagles are around +250 ML

Correct terms are listed here.

If he wins the 5k with patriots but lose his hedge ( apx 1,000 for Eagles ML) he is out 1000 cash in exchange for 5k that has a rollover. 5,000 for a 1,000 deposit is not to shabby. :suomi:

I dont think you should factor the 'rollover' too much into your decision, to me... the 5K is just like cash (despite the rollover)

WHY?

because if I am not in a rush, patient, disciplined.... the rollover is easy to meet, may take a while, but with scalps, middles & straight betting.... you are gonna make that many bets anyway so the rollover shouldnt really be factored in. (IMO)....
