The problem is a true free market will never exist, well not in a democracy. Because there will always be competing forces.

A politicians will do what they need to do to get votes.

I'm a big fan of the government setting things in place for business to succeed but part of that is ensuring the population has a good education and health care. Safe cities as well as a social safety net.

Don't let the name fool you but the BC Liberals have a pretty good operation going in British Columbia, of course they're only dealing with about 5 million people not 350 million.

obviously you can't have a happy blissful anarchy on any large scale i know that

but in the end over the years we've added more government and that obviously hasn't helped

and now their answer is tack on even more

i'm sure that'll work out just fine

NOT

the whole problem is liberalism is an easy sell

its sounds so good on paper

round up a bunch of "specialists" in the field, they knock their heads together, and will figure out how to make the system better for all of us (the federal reserve approach LMAO)

the only problem is it doesn't work like that in practice as either the specialists have no fucking clue how to manage something this big and complex and/or the are crooks whose pockets are being lined with special interests to do things that are in favor of the elite and not the general population

increasing government and collectivism will always lead to greater inequalites in society, a shittier standard of living, and will make many problems worse than they were when they started trying to "fix" them

this has been proven over and over again throughout the history of mankind

and then you'll probably say again well look at canada

canada can do what it does because it has the US to its south....

if it needs better quality health care they can cross the border

US quality is good...the price is just ridiculous for the average joe

they don't have to worry about any military spending

etc....

True but the US military expenditures is Many times more than the rest of the world combined.

I wouldn't say better care in the US, yes there are case where people go south and pay the big $$$ to skip the line.

I have no trouble with fiscal conservatism BUT the social conservatism gets tacked on by those affiliated with the republicans. The Social issues are the most divisive problem in your country.

liberal lifestyles lead to liberal fiscal habits of both the government and populace at large

high divorce rate and breakdown of the family leads to living for today and not thinking about tomorrow

i could make a long list along those lines

the GOP is right about promoting family values and all that shit they just go about it the totally wrong way (plus in a society that is changing from the past....they still preaching the same shit like its the 1950s...they need to tone down the chrisitianity and go more heavy on the moral values and leading a good family lifestyle) and in the end in my view they are actually helping spread of liberalism even more and faster by the tactics they use

they need to go the ron paul route

lead by example, i'm christian, i'm a family man, i don't agree with gays, i don't agree with abortion etc...

but i'm not gonna mess with any of that stuff at the federal level

leave it to the states

anyway its not even really worth bother talking about the republicans in their current state to get anywhere near where they need to be is gonna take quite some time....we live in a one party system of liberalism and big government.....the GOP just makes noise otherwise but its horseshit

Everyone can agree that a good family structure is beneficial but its impossible to legislate it.

Gay Marriage is nothing more than a contract, like regular marriage in the eyes of the government or at least it should be. What ever personal feeling an individual has about marriage shouldn't be put on others.

And the jackasses who say what next will a man marry a goat? You can't enter into a legal contract with a goat.

A national Health Care system is something that could make the US more competitive.

If all things being equal a company has to choose between the US where they have to pay a huge chunk of money towards employee health care or a country like Canada where the health care is taken care of.

Low corporate tax rates are all over the world now. The US ranked 30th a couple years ago, not because they were raising rates but other countries were lowering them.

So have to offer other incentives

negative

this is where you stopped making sense in this here thread

nationalized healthcare does not promote foreign investment anymore then a nation with diversified options with healthcare

my point is you can learn things like business or economics to a pretty deep level on your own without getting a piece of paper saying you know it

kinda like i have done over the years

...and how's that working out for you? Probably pretty good if you're paid per post on gambling websites.
