I'll leave that up to you, Shrink, since you know a lot more about the business and the people in it than I do. I would like to see you and McIrish on it though. But to be fair, this committee should be made up of reps from BOTH sides, players AND books, sort of like a bi-partisan committee. I'm not looking for a committee that would be a book-crucifier but one that will be fair to both sides, so that the books will also feel protected from scamming players by it as much as the players protected by scamming books.

Oh, and for those not in the know, 1 Love was actually HamnEggs reincarnated, who had also been banned last week after driving many of the posters crazy, not being tolerant of people's views, name calling, bitch slapping, violating just about every no no that a poster has ever committed, etc....

For the record, I too think this whole CBS
thing is a load of crap. My guess is that
JJ gets a commission if he gets the guy paid.
So many agendas on this forum that you can't
believe much of anything on here. You have
to learn to read between the lines.

Confession time - I bet an "off" line at
CBS a while back. It wasn't egregious but off enough that I knew they made a mistake.
Got an e-mail from Dave AFTER the game was played stating that they would pay me on
this one since I'd been a good customer for
quite a while. He assured me though, that
this was the one and only time I would get
paid on something like that. It means nothing
as far as this case goes because it was
long enough ago that attitudes may have
changed over time but it shows they were
not looking to take a shot at me at that
time. They have been very fair in all my dealings with them. That, coupled with the
fact that you have what amounts to a blackmail
job going on here makes it difficult to side
with the anyone. I have no opinion on this
one but I do think the player side of it is being handled poorly. This is not the way to
get this thing settled.

I have went to bat for players against a handfull of advertisers here and NEVER let a bias towards an advertiser stop me, so there is some unjust mud being slung here.

In 4 of those 5 instances the player was paid and the dipute settled.

I have and never will let the fact that a book is advertising here at the RX stop me from being fair and impartial to the player.

If an advertiser is WRONG, then there is not 1 person employeed here that I think would just turn on the player for that reason.

I agree with you JJ...you can stir up the sh_t, but only because the RX is not taking the microphone away. It's like a protestor disrupting a speech...they're usually dragged out of the auditorium and not given the podium for the rest of the evening. Without that microphone your posting and 50 cents would get you a small slurpee from Jen.

Sure, sounds like a good idea to me.

In regards to the jj thread on CBS, i didn't like it either, but, other posters were pretty quick to point out the BS in that thread.
And if anyone read more than 3 or 4 posts in it, they would read where jj admits it is nothing more than an arm-twisting campaign to get aaref paid.

After going back, and rereading it, i admit that it should have either been locked, or at the least, been retitled.
