Dante,

What's so confusing about the 5Dimes bonus program? They even do the rollover tracking for you.

I receently sent Betgameday some cash and have been real happy there, fun place to play and a 20% bonus. I have not taken a withdrawal, so I don't know how that goes. Dime lines.

I still play at Blue Marlin Sports and they have a 15% bonus, I have taken many withdrawals from them and they are fast and polite. They have dime lines for the bases as well.

Also still play at Pinnacle, 8 cent lines on sides, and no probs with withdrawals.

7, be careful and do your homework. You didn't pick the books you are with now out of a hat to come up with Pinnacle and Carib. If a book hasn't been around for at least 3 years then don't bother.

SDS,
Not sure why that would matter since my business is not a sportsbook.

But for someone to put money in a book that is not a top tier book in business with a perfect payout record for at least 3 years, 5 years is even better, is just not smart.

Although the forums would get awfully slow if players stuck to top tier books.

Halifax,

Yes, John has a very bad image of CR based operations, if you read all through the list, you can see his tendency to downgrade offshore books in Costa Rica argumenting FBI and CIA involvement, truth be told, here in Costa Rica, we have no problems with either goverment agencies, as most rumors are malicious, designed to upset a growing stable market. Also if you downscroll lower to the main body or list of books that have been blacklisted, Instant Sports is not even listed, but thanks anyway for the potential warning.

CR has good books and bad ones. Any generalization regarding the reliability or security of the numerous books in CR is pure BULLSHIT.

There are good & bad businesses everywhere-CR is no different. Stick with the top notch books....maybe I've missed a 1/2 point here and there, but I've never been stiffed by a book.

Think about it-is it worth "playing on the fringe" if theres a fair chance that you're not going to get paid????

That is exactly my point, maybe Instant Action does not give off 10 cent lines to every player, but their claim to fame is their ethical payout policy, i would not sacrifice a good payout just for vigorish benefits that i could never cash out if the book was prone to holding funds out on you.

Trying to make steadfast rules to follow when picking a sportsbook is retarded.

If you always do "X", then the outcome will always be "Y" is only true in math.

Rule #1 Avoid books located in Costa Rica.

Needs to be amended to read, sportsbooks go out of business and stiff players, no mater where they are located. Here is a short list of countries where sportsbooks have gone under:

United States
United Kingdom
Ireland
Curacao
Jamaca
Belize
Costa Rica

Plus many, many more. Play at offshore books as your own risk.

also, Gambling is a risk, you could loose money. Gambling offshore is also a risk you can loose all your money.

ONLY PEOPLE WITH THE BALLS TO COMBINE THESE TWO RISKS SHOULD PLAY OFFSHORE.

Only deal with books that have been in business 3 years? WTF??? what is so magicial about 3 years? why not 2 years? 2.5 years? 5 years? jesus why not just say only play at books that you have a friend working at that can give you the skinny before the book goes down?

that would be safe.

Only play at books on the preffered list or "our" list or "their" list... or only play at books that appear on mulitible lists.... REALLY I NEVER FREAKING THOUGHT OF THAT, THANKS FOR THAT BIT OF INFORMATION.

Hey any information we can get to help US decide where to play and what joints MAY be safer than others is appreciated. BUT don't make up rules that are untrue, unproven and unfounded.

Yes, althought i tend to agree in that there is no magical or judgementaly proven logical basis for decisions, one always has criteria, there are no players that lack it, it may be on a case to case basis, but nonetheless everyone has a characteristical phobia or prejudice or even a gut feeling as to with whom one should gamble. Me, im interested in solid ethics, to me a good personal experience means more than the inclusion of your preferred book on a list, inasmuch as John considers ALL or most CR based books prone to inestability.
