Get your quad and other leg muscles as strong as possible before surgery. The muscle atrophy is crazy!!! And it's under expressed in this process.

research how you want it fixed, hamstring, patella, or cadaver. Each one has its plus and minus.

The doc is most important. A bad ortho is very dangerous and all to common.

Pray like hell your first surgery is all you need

Good advice. Thanks.

I've been through 3 in the same knee since 2000 All sports related and recovery is long until you are back up to competing etc. As was said before the Dr is huge and everyone has their own opinions/methods

I started researching and its crazy how little is actually known in the success of knee surgeries and what works/doesn't. I'm sure everyone is different. I elected after this last time to just get a custom brace, build up my quad/hammy and other muscles and feel pretty confident. Don't feel like going thru another 6 months of recovery not even knowing if things will be better.

Any questions ask
