yup. Drawing a veteran clay courter like Verdasco wasnt the best. BUT, consistency is critical if you want to be considered elite. Came in 16-3 ytd on clay and 2 ATP titles and poof, gone first round. Keep in mind he beat Verdasco in straights at Madrid (on clay). Let's see how he evolves. Clearly this was not good. He appears to have game for all surfaces.

as a teenager has beatin' Nole, Federer. He just turned 20. We shall see.

I think Kyrgios will win a major soon but it probably won't be on clay. I like his chances a lot more on hard courts or grass. I'll likely throw some down on him to win Wimbledon.

I already got my Wimbledon bets down.

Woulf still feel strong value in this play if I knew he was not hurt.
im hearing mixed stories.
He did not exactly look hurt the other day.

if he gets past this next march he will have an easier then expected 3rd with the 1st round upset of Songa

for outsider i would go Thiem 25/1

currently mauling Johnson.......destined to meet Nole in the qtrs? Nole ripped him a yr ago here in straights. Different times now? the kid has another year under his belt and Nole is not in top form....

i'd take rafa over Nole in a heartbeat if they were to meet in the semi's.

on the mens side, the biggest match-up of the tournament goes off today

Thiem Vs Nole

Nole is -200. A yr ago these two met at Roland Garros and Nole , I believe, was -1200 or so. Times have clearly changed. Nole has been so good for so long- and just like that he's no longer a machine. This match-up is 5-0 for Nole- even more disturbing is Thiem has only been able to win 1 set in those 5 matches!! At Rome a few weeks back Nole won 6-1,6-0; i'm assuming Thiem just packed it in . Theim has not lost a set in this tournament. Elite form. YTD has beatin', on clay, Murrray and Nadal.

winner to play most likely Nadal in the semi's. If Nole wins, i'm on Nadal . Line should be reasonable. I think Thiem would give Nadal a harder fight!!
