I think I have flip flopped on this GB/WAS game...

I did the same this evening before finally settling for a KC/Seahawks double. I do favor GB and the deciding factor is at QB I can't bring myself to pick Cousins over Rogers.

Well I can. All I've seen for the last 6 weeks is talk about past history in regards to Rogers. Try looking at his last 6 games. He's been terrible. It's painful to watch GB's offense. His receivers suck and so does his offensive line (so that means he sucks too). Rogers may "have been" a stud, and when he gets Jordy Nelson back, he may be a stud again. But right now, he sucks.

GB will probably lose this one on purpose because they do not want to go to Arizona

Except for the comment right above this one ^ we have some good discussion in here (I'm sure statman was being sarcastic). Some good points being made to take Washington.

And a lot of those are the exact reason why I picked the Redskins initially in the thread I posted earlier in the week.

I never could pull the trigger though. So I decided to dig deeper and think deeper to give my self some confidence in picking the Skins.

The opposite happened. I flip flopped.

I won't be shocked if either team wins/covers. A good case can be made for both sides here.

Try looking at his last 6 games. He's been terrible.

Ive watched him the entire game his past 2.

I disagree. Rodgers has not been terrible. He did well not to force turnovers.

The fact is, his receivers are taking too long to get separation. And he doesn't have the time with his terrible OLine.

This is on the rest of the offense. Rodgers is going through his reads. When something opens up, he is usually hitting the right guy.

Of course he hasn't been flawless. But when you get sacked 8 times (like in AZ), it causes you to get a little skittish.

Ahh, you selectively edited what I said. So let's put it back into context and take everything...."His receivers suck and so does his offensive line (so that means he sucks too)." You can't have it both ways. If he throws a nice pass to lobster boy and he drops it, the end result is the same. If his offensive line is doing such a terrible job that it's like a jail break and Rogers doesn't throw an interception, what is the end result?

Wow. Maybe Im not understanding your point completely. But if I am, I 100% disagree with you here.

Players get graded every play on the decisions they make and the results. If Rodgers gets sacked on a play, he could have made the right decision by eating it. Or he could have missed the opportunity to hit an open man.

Each player is graded on the job they do on every play. Does your team impact the end result? Yes. Of course. But that does not negate the fact that you did or did not do your job under the circumstances of each given play.

You're talking about wagering on a team and yet you somehow want to isolate out a player and say he is playing well despite the fact that his team is playing poorly. As stated if his receivers can't catch and the line can't block, the end result is going to be the same. And then when I look at Rogers QB rating for that game, is it going to indicate that he played well (nope). With that said, you and many others, use the opposite logic on the Redskins stating they haven't played anyone. What kind of reasoning is that? Did they have a choice of who they played? Did they win and perform well over their recent games? The best you can say is you don't know how good they are. People made the same claims as Carolina went undefeated for most of the season. I just think your reasoning is simply trying to throw the onus on the Redskins and discounting how the Packers have played.

Well my friend we’re on opposite sides here. Bottom line for me was which QB do I want? Rodgers won out over Cousins.

Usually first time playoff QB’s shit the bed. I have Steelers -2 ½ Seattle -5 ½ and GB ML in a parlay.

Left out Hou/KC because I don’t a clue. We shall see.

P.S. How’s the knee?

Over the course of 2 threads, Ive given reasons for backing both teams. First Washington, and now GB since I flipped.

So Ive covered all that.

This is a separate issue. You said Rodgers has been terrible. I disagree. Hes done about as well as any qb could do with the hand dealt.

Its fine. We disagree on that point. No reason to go in circles here. Good luck with your wagers this weekend.

We're in agreement on the other two and I will put more on them anyway so hopefully we nail those. Knee's at 95% and don't think I'll ever get the other 5% back, but can run if needed and won't have any issues. Your town smacked me around the last time I was there, but I'm hoping to get 'em back during SB weekend (will be staying at Palazzo). I tried to convince the wife to rent out the house for a few days and pick up a quick $5k. She picked up a frying pan and I started running (the knee was just fine to get me out of that one, lol).

I know the Packers are garbage right now. I know the Skins are playing well, with confidence, and at home.

But digging deeper, I think Rodgers can disect this team if the beat up OLine can just give him a little extra time.

WAS is...

28th overall in defense.
25th overall in pass defense.
Tied with 3 others at 14th in sacks.

This all against 6 games against the NFC East.

If GB is gonna win a game on the road in the playoffs, this Redskin team might be the only team they can beat.

Plus you get one of the top QBs in the league on your side.

Think Im gonna flip flop...

Yup.
