So... I'm watching the game on tape delay tonight (I hate to sit
through all those commercials) with bunch of Cowboy fans. As many
on here know, I'm a lifetime Patriots fan, from back to the Steve
Grogan era.
I forgot to tell my wife that I'm watching the game on tape delay, and
she texts me at half-time saying that my 10 year old daugher
(who's the only Cowboy fan in our family) is happy because the Cowboys
are winning. I'm stupidly pick up my phone and see the text.
Now, I know that they are watching the game in real-time, so now I know that
the Cowboys are winning very late in the game. I also can't say or reveal
anything to all the guys I'm with, because they don't want to know anything
about what happens until they see it on tape-delay.
So when the score is 13-13 late in the game, and the Cowboys are
threatening, I'm praying that they only score a field-goal. Thankfully, the
Cowboys score a field-goal, and then Brady marches them down-field
in the last 2 minutes for a TD to win it.
Moral of the story: When watching important games on tape-delay, don't
pick up the phone.
