Chael Sonnen has come out with big claims, stating he knows what Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) LeBron James is taking.

The former UFC fighter is known for his 'out of the world' claims and predictions about combat sports fighters and athletes. While on the Flagrant podcast hosted by Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, he spoke about the effect of PEDs and claimed to know what drugs the NBA's all-time leading scorer James takes:

"If the world understood what LeBron did....If you know what these performance enhancers did, then you would know why it does matter. We have the same drug guy, I know exactly what he's doing.

"EPO (Erythropoietin) matters, it's the reason LeBron takes it, it matters. EPO increases your red blood cells, which gives you endurance so you can play all game long."

Sonnen claimed that LeBron James uses EPO, a banned substance for NBA athletes. This goes alongside the criticizms that the league faces for their 'soft' anti-doping tests and measures. There has never been a PED controversy in the NBA, which many attribute to the 'lenient' testing
