List the cities who didn't have the element of racism present 60 years ago.

What Boston was has never been true since LeDinkshit was born. Never mind since he's been in the NBA. There is NO truth to the statement that Boston is a ricist city. None.
I wouldn’t characterize it as a racist city

But the racist incidents towards black athletes has been far less than 60 years ago. Don’t think Adam Jones played in 1960, for instance…..

Orioles player. You don’t remember this? It was sorta big news

Oh yea, the guy who said "baseball is a white man's sport". He got a bag of peanuts thrown at the dugout? He's somehow sure that bag of peanuts was aimed at him? How? Did some fan throw a bag of peanuts? It seems that someone was ejected for that "crime". But I think Jones is suspect of being the real racist here. I mean there are drunken fans doing stupid things at every sporting event everywhere. Condemning Boston for being a racist city because one fan did something questionable is flat out stupid.

Is LA a racist city? You know the place LeBron plays? He did report racist spray paint on his garage door in Brentwood. Think that's a little more racist than a bag of peanuts.

Get real.

That’s just one example though.

So many athletes have come out and said similar things. Are they all lying?

Hell I’m pretty sure your own paper did a pretty lengthy cover story about the city’s history of racism in sports context. Guess it’s just fake news then

Pretty sure I essentially it’s unfair to label a whole city racist, so no need to get defensive man

Racism is racism man — it’s all intolerable.

That was awful, but again you generally don’t hear about black athletes complaining about racism playing at LA sports venues. It’s a more diverse, generally tolerant place so not exactly unexpected. We Cali cities need to worry more about dudes dressing up in skirts, not white people shouting the N word

LA racism historically more in its institutions (police department in 80s/90s, etc).

I'm not defensive. I just don't like false narratives when they are about such an inflammatory subject. The liberal media loves to twist the gullible into believing things that are flat out untrue. Yes the Boston Globe is a perfect example. Read it daily like I do. Then you can understand their one sided agenda blowing up any little negative to paint completely false pictures. That's what liberals do. One incident of such minor consequence does not define a city.

I live outside the city. I go to the city every day and intermingle with all kinds of people. I virtually never run into anything that could be construed as racist. We all get along just fine. Thank you. But telling that story would put the false liberal talking points to death. They can't let them go. Sixty years ago is a long time ago.

There have been thousands of non white athletes between the colleges and the pros who have played here in that time. Show me all the racist stories. Because you're gonna have a real hard time dredging them up despite having a nationally recognized paper (the Globe) who would be happy to highlight and embellish them. There are millions of people around here of all races, religions, and ethnicities. The stories of racism are few and far between.

Think!!!

i travel for my job and spend 3-10 months per assignment. Boston is definitely the most racist city I have been in that is above the Mason-Dixon line. I say that from observation and also having day to day interactions with either people I worked with or those I encountered in everyday activities. FWIW, St Louis is a close second and then Detroit.

I grew up in New England, and spent a ton of time in Mass and Boston, and have never seen it.

What does your personal experience living there have anything to do with what several black athletes on opposing teams have said about playing there?

We all have different experiences. Just because you haven't experienced it first hand doesn't mean it doesn't exist

Out of curiosity, have you actually read the Boston Globe cover story on this? It's pretty compelling, gives a pretty fair and balanced illustration of the issue. And no it's not about something >60 years ago lol

Also if you're convinced that The Globe embellishes shit like that, then why do you bother to read it everyday? Just curious

Please share these racist experiences. There must be many to classify a whole city as racist.

My personal experience trumps anything that anyone can tell me about the city I grew up around and go to every day, intermingling with lots of black people. There will always be isolated instances of racism. I don't care what American city you go to. Some blacks don't like whites. Some whites don't like blacks. You may have noticed that the incidents of racism that recently pop up more than any other "racist" incidents are blacks on Asians.

Massachusetts had a black governor about 15 years ago. Boston has had a succession of black police chiefs. Boston just recently had a black interim mayor and currently has a Taiwanese mayor. The people vote those people in. Let's not forget the overwhelming vote Barrack Obama got in Massachusetts.

JUst because the media wants to sensationalize a narrative and blow it way out of proportion doesn't mean you have to believe it. My experience counts way more than anything any media source or outsider could tell me. I've been to many, many Red Sox, Celtic, and fewer Patriot games. I used to have partial season tickets to both the Red Sox and Celtics. I NEVER heard a racial epithet uttered. NEVER. Hundreds of thousands of people around me. NEVER.

Believe what you want to believe. But if its that Boston is a racist city its bullshit.

Haven't anything more to say.

Well actually the only experiences who matter are black people who have played in front of people being racist towards them. Unless those stories are all made up, which I find hard to believe, then the reputation is merited in my opinion

The whole point was about fans heckling and being racist towards black people at sporting events, which notoriously happens in Boston . I’m sure LeBron has heard some nasty shit there over the years, probably why he said it (though I disagree with his broad generalization).

Not sure why you made it larger than that

I’m sure Kanter wants him gone

Number of times he’s gotten obliterated by LeBron on the court , I would want that too
You are an idiot. You have to read up on who Enes Kanter Freedom really is. He is 10 times the man that LeDouche is.
