[ Note that Jason Whitlock is a back man. yeah, Lebron James is a bigot - but a lot of that is just that he's a dumb fuck. ]

Time for BLM 101, Volume 4. BLM 101 is dedicated to educating professional athletes about the negative consequences of the Black Lives Matter movement. BLM 101 makes every effort to avoid snark and ridicule. Today that will be difficult.
OK, let’s head to the NBA Bubble at Disney World and check in with the NBA Police Review Board headed by internal affairs officer LeBron James. From his Florida hotel, Officer James is leading the investigation into the Kenosha, Wisconsin police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake.

Monday morning, less than 24 hours after Kenosha police shot Blake seven times, James filed his initial report on the incident, tweeting:
“And y’all wonder why we say what we say about the police! Someone please tell me WTF is this?! Exactly another black man being targeted. This shit is so wrong and so sad! Feel so sorry for him, his family and our people! We want justice.”
Monday night, after acquiring additional information while moonlighting as a small forward in a playoff game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Officer James held a press conference to discuss the shooting.

“I know people get tired of hearing me say it, but we are scared as black people in America,” James said. “Black men, black women, black kids, we are terrified.”
James later accused the police of lying.
“If you’re sitting here and telling me that there was no way to ‘saydue’ (subdue) that gentleman or detain him or just before firing guns, then you’re sitting here lying to not only me, but you’re lying to every African American, every black person in the community,” James said.
<figure class="wp-block-embed-twitter aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter" style="margin: 0px auto 1em; padding: 0px; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; display: table; position: relative; max-width: 662px; background-position: 0px 0px;">https://twitter.com/espn/status/1298119092033945600
</figure>I’m black. I’m not scared. I’m not terrified. Neither is LeBron James. He’s lying. He and the political activists controlling him want black people to immerse themselves in fear. Fear is a tool used to control people. If you comply with police instructions, there is virtually no chance of an American citizen being harmed by police.
“If you watch the video, there were multiple moments where if they wanted to, they could’ve tackled (Blake),” Officer James said. “They could’ve grabbed him. You know? They could’ve done that. And why, why does it always have to get to a point where we see guns firing?”
It’s very difficult to investigate police shootings and play NBA playoff games. Officer James is clearly unaware of a second video that shows police on the opposite side of Blake’s car wrestling with Blake on the ground. Blake escapes the police, gets to his feet and walks to the driver’s side of his vehicle.

<iframe src="https://abc7.com/video/embed/?pid=6387445" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; max-width: 100%; background-position: 0px 0px;"></iframe>
I’m sure someone on the NBA Police Review Board will show James the second video at some point Tuesday.
“Quite frankly, it’s disgusting to have multiple cops around and not even thinking about (using) a Taser,” said Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma, one of James’ top police investigators. “And forget about the Taser, just simple combat and taking a man down instead of trying to shoot him.”

Again, the Lakers investigative team is clearly unaware of the second video and reports that police initially tried using a Taser on Blake.
James then speculated on the mindset of the police officer(s) who shot Blake.
“You have no idea how that cop that day left the house,” James said. “You don’t know if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed. You don’t know if he had an argument at home with his significant other. You don’t know if one of his kids said something to him and he left the house steaming. Or maybe he just left the house saying that, ‘Today is going to be the end for one of these black people.’ That’s what it feels like. That’s what it feels like. It just hurts. It hurts.”
I’m sure the Kenosha police are saying the exact same thing about Jacob Blake, who had an active arrest warrant for third-degree sexual assault at the time of the shooting. Blake has previously been arrested for pointing a weapon at people, carrying a concealed weapon into a building and domestic violence.

Did Jacob Blake wake up on the wrong side of the bed Sunday morning?
When I watched the initial viral video showing police shooting Blake in the back I was outraged. I waited to calm down. I sent the video to a couple of friends and discussed it with them. We wondered why it was only 20 seconds. Why was it edited? Was it edited and then released to provoke outrage, fear and rioting?
I decided it was best to wait for additional information before making any sort of comment. (I’m still waiting for additional information. This column is not a defense of the police or vilification of Blake.)

LeBron James has more than 40 million followers on Twitter. Doesn’t he have a moral responsibility to be informed and measured before commenting on a controversy that could inspire civil unrest? What’s the harm in waiting 48 hours, 72 hours or a week?
Is James intentionally being used as an agent of chaos?
His logic is consistent with the logic of white bigots. James uses occasional anecdotes to make sweeping negative generalizations about white police officers.

“And y’all wonder why we say what we say about police!”
James’ Twitter feed reads like a transcript from a KKK rally. Can’t you hear the Grand Wizard of the Klan shouting to his followers in the aftermath of O.J. Simpson?
“And y’all wonder why we say what we say about black people!”

LeBron James foolishly thinks he’s overseeing the police. He’s overseeing the black KKK. He’s promoting racism. He’s demonizing a group of white people based on the behavior of a few.

As a black man that sort of racist tactic should be terrifying. That racist tactic was used to deny us freedom in this country. No one who professes to care about the welfare of black people would adopt the tactics of white bigots.
Bigots, regardless of color, have a common trait. Ignorance. Ignorance fuels their ego. Information is their enemy. They avoid it at all costs. Negative anecdotes frame their worldview.

Bigotry has subdued and detained LeBron James.

Black Lives Matter is a clever Twitter hashtag designed to spread racial division. Twitter baits and rewards racial demagoguery. James is addicted to social media. His bigotry is no surprise.

I think LeBron and his people just saw a nice business/branding opening with this stuff. Just say vague stuff, never really get too controversial, adoring media won't care, praise you for being brave.

Then the next generation of guys is way more woke than he is and he's kinda fucked now. He's like wait, you guys are willing to fuckup the money for this shit? Umm...

Pro Sports in America is dying in front of our very eyes. This will be a story taught in business schools across America for decades to come. The story is about how to kill a multi-billion-dollar empire overnight, with just your big mouth.

It’s about killing the goose that layed the golden egg.

It’s about the massive disconnect between the stars of sports and their customers- the people who pay their grossly inflated and obscene salaries.

You are killing yourselves. It’s clearly suicide. Stop talking politics. Soon, you’re going to be playing in front of empty stands. Soon, your ratings will plummet even further. Soon, your apparel and memorabilia will stop selling. You’ve made a tragic mistake and miscalculation.

Before I get to the reason pro athletes should keep politics away from their sports, let me ask LeBron James and his NBA pals a few very important questions.

LeBron, how come you never said a word, let alone threatened to end the season, over black-on-black genocide in big cities across USA? Thousands of black young men are dying on the streets of every inner city. Why don’t you care?

LeBron, how about Chicago? Why doesn’t it bother you that 50 to 100 innocent citizens are shot there every weekend? The victims are virtually 100% black. Why isn’t that worth a boycott?

LeBron, how about the innocent little black children murdered in gang shootings in big cities across America? It happens every day. Why doesn’t that bother you?

LeBron, how about the millions of black babies aborted? Why not cancel the NBA season for that? Why doesn’t that bother you, LeBron?

LeBron, has any sports league EVER stop playing…or postponed playoff games in history, for a hero cop murdered, or a hero soldier murdered? That’s not important to you?

LeBron, did you or your NBA pals stop playing to honor the retired black police captain in St Louis killed by a thug during BLM riots?

LeBron, did the NBA, or any other sports league postpone games, or threaten to end the season when a sniper murdered five Dallas cops in one day? Why didn’t that bother any pro athletes?

Lebron, did you, or any pro athletes demand games be stopped for the little boy shot in head and murdered two weeks ago? He happened to be white. His murderer happened to be black. That has to be one of the most shocking crimes in history. Who kills a smiling, happy, five-year old child on his bicycle, execution-style? But I never heard a peep from one NBA player. Why? You didn’t notice?

Is the execution of a five-year old less important to you than a white cop killing or wounding a black criminal, who has a long criminal record, and refuses to obey orders from a police officer? Really?

LeBron, isn’t it strange that neither you, nor your NBA pals, ever gave a damn about human rights violations in China? There are billions of dollars to be made looking the other way, while communist China abuses, arrests, tortures and murders their own citizens. China has concentration camps for Muslims. But you know that, right?

Obviously, none of that is a problem for NBA players, if billions of dollars are at stake. Right, LeBron?

LeBron, how about the child slave labor in third world countries being paid a few cents a day to sew your sneakers, that make you hundreds of millions of dollars?

You’ve never boycotted over that. Why?

Do you see where I’m going LeBron? You and your pals in the NBA, MLB, NFL and NHL seem a tad hypocritical. You don’t notice when cops are shot or killed. You don’t notice the black genocide going on in America’s cities. You don’t notice the young black children killed in gang shootings. Or the millions of aborted black babies.

You don’t seem to notice the black crime perpetrated upon white citizens. I think that’s important too, don’t you? I think it’s fair game. I think we need a national discussion and debate. I think it’s a two-way street.

By the way, LeBron, if u feel so strongly about ending the season for a bad guy who wanted to kill cops with a knife, what’s stopping you? You should go home. Let other players, who want to play, play.

And I have the perfect idea for the NFL players thinking of forfeiting a game this season in “honor” of Jacob Blake, the career criminal, sexual assaulter, fighting police on the ground, threatening to kill cops with a knife. If that person is worth taking a stand over, then I think you should quit football. Become a full-time social justice warrior. It doesn’t pay $5 to $10 million per year. You’ll make about $25,000 a year. How’s that sound? Are you willing to give up football to fight full-time for social justice? I didn’t think so.

So, forgive me if all of your customers aren’t on your team on this one.

LeBron, my advice is simple:SHUT UP. You’re alienating your customers. You’re offending your customers. You know, the ones who pay the grossly inflated and obscene prices for tickets, parking, food and sports apparel at the game.

Sports and politics don’t mix. We tune into the games to get away from politics. Keep violating that rule and there will be no fans left to pay your grossly inflated and obscene salaries.

LeBron, pull back from the ledge. Because this is suicide.

Mark Cuban
@mcuban

<time datetime="2020-08-29T01:05:07.000Z">49s</time>In 25 yrs when 2020 is reviewed in history classes, no one will discuss the cable-news shows, the President's or anyone's tweets. Students will learn who among us stood up for what is Just, Right and Fair. I'm proud the @NBA
and our players will be central to that conversation

What about this guy?

For all his dumb bluster and word salad, LeBron is a little pawn that is just trying to brand himself correctly in an increasingly politically polarized entertainment landscape.

People like Cuban are far more influential in pushing this stuff.

[ LeBeeotch getting called out for being such a loose-lipped, brainless dumb-ass by MMA fighter Colby Covington ]

“I want to dedicate this fight to all the first responders, all the military out there,” he said. “This world would not be safe without you guys, you keep us safe, and not these woke athletes. I'm sick of these spineless cowards like LeBron James.”

“LOL at the snowflakes that believe @KingJames could even last 10 seconds with me!” his tweet read. “If that coward had the b---s or the ability to kick anyone’s a--, Delonte West would’ve lost his teeth long before his meth habit!”
