I had a big play on Michigan +17.5 yesterday. Wrote the game off, checked my phone once more, saw the score was 28-11, grabbed remote in middle of family party to change channel to the game--just in time to catch MSU running in for a TD with 24 seconds left.

Been taking a hiatus myself, feels great. Had a terrible Saturday a few weeks ago, followed that up with genius plays on Bucs when they got housed by the Ravens and Steelers when they got smacked by Browns. Said fuck it, haven't made a bet since, and have not missed it one bit. Have been getting out and doing things with family on weekends, spent entire afternoon today at a lacrosse round robin. Time away is sometimes the best remedy....I will invariably get the itch again at some point in the future, and I will scratch it, but for now enjoying not watching bad beats and blowouts. In 2001 I had Michigan ML in the MSU game. Was in Vegas for a wedding and left for the ceremony with Mich up 24-19, a minute or so left. Got to the Flamingo and while walking to the courtyard stopped in the sports book to check the final score--26-24 MSU. That was the game that prompted the NCAA to use its own timekeepers instead of those provided by the home team.
Like someone said earlier, you have to roll with the beats, good and bad, and not get to excited or worked up either way. It just really hurts when you are down and need a break, but instead get a fluky kick in the nuts.
