Game was pretty much over at halftime especially bringing in the fatigue factor. NY was really sloppy and missing everything they put up in the 2nd half. This was my largest single wager of the year since the Superbowl, congrats to everyone that hit with me on this one. Have fun the rest of the year. Not sure how you guys can watch this game on a daily of even frequent basis. I would rather watch pee wee baseball. Again, congrats to those that cashed on this one. :toast:
First off growth is not only determined by profits. The league has grown in attendance & ratings from where it has been.
Yes, I've been to games & to say that it is a freak show is completely ridiculous. I am not sure what games you've been to but the ones I've attended did not turn into some lesbian orgy. I see lots of kids enjoying themselves especially girls who have athletic role models to admire.
The level of play has not dropped off to say the least. What is wrong with people is they keep comparing the women's game to the men's game & they will never be one & the same. Women's basketball has always been more of a team sport & not an attempt to be a highlight on the 11pm Sportscenter. If that is the kind of shitty basketball you want to see, watch the NBA where it is me, me, me every night. One of the few teams that doesn't play that way is the Spurs & men hate watching them as they don't appreciate true basketball.
The league has talent that it never had in the past & it is only getting better as women's college basketball evolves. More & more players will be around that can play above the rim which mixed in with the team aspect will make this game better.
