In solidarity I have closed my account and will no longer do business with this company....I will spread the word in the US regarding this decision on the part of this highly visible sportsbook to go against the arbitration panel....I think this is an absurd move by the owners of this book...I suggest all at this site advise everyone you know to put pressure on this "A+" company....They have just lost their status as far as I am concerned.....

Dickie, do you know what their role was with the "arbitration panel"?

In protest i will open up an account with ESB!

I am not sure why everyone thinks Olympic was supposed to abide by a non-binding arbitration ruling. If i was the player, i never would have participated in a non-binding arbitration. Non-binding arbitration by its definition allows either side to ignore the ruling. Will everyon wake up and smell the coffee on this one.

If this was binding arbitration and they breached the agreement, that is a different story.

Tang, that pretty much sums it up. I feel bad for the guys who put their time into this when in the end, it was meaningless.

1. Olympic lies on the screen.
2. They change the bet after they read you a number.
3. They have 2 operators taking bets on the wise guy line.
4. If you bet them on something that moves you get your limits cut.
5. You can't bet the net if you beat them to the punch.
6. You can only take $8000 per day via Neteller.
7. Clerks are rude.
8. They showed poor judgement re: the panel.
9. Reduced vig shops are killing books like his.
10. Dime limits on overnites, only Rio is lower.
11. Site is the same as it's been since it's inception.
12. "Sweat the game, not the payout" should read, "sweat getting a line read and placing a wager before we move it on you"

These have all happened to me.

there are many disputes that arise in the world. Some go to binding arbitration and some go to non-binding arbitration. There are occasions that parties decide to allow an arbitrator make a ruling and if both sides agree, they will abide by it. Then there are times they agree to be bound by whatever the arbitrator decides.

i think many of you just don't get the concept of non-binding arbitration.

A lot of books graded this the exact same way Oly did.

WSEX, CRIS, 5 Dimes ... most of the Caribbean books, I believe, graded these bets the same way that Olympic did ... the Olympic case is making the biggest headlines because the Olympic bettor has pressed hard at several forums for mediation/arbitration ... the other bettors in the same situation didn't raise nearly as much of a stink about it.

Could it be the other bettors know nothing about these forums? The sad fact is these forums are a drop in the ocean to all the people that bet off-shore. I've met quite a few tourists here in Vegas that bet off-shore. Not one, zero have even heard of The RX. Met one that knew about "Covers".

How else do you think these books can go around stiffing people and continue as business as usual?

Chuck,

I think the point is, none of the above books that graded this the same way as Olympic would be considered "shit books". In fact, they are among the elite in the industry and have been for many years.

I'll take a decision from CRIS, WSEX, 5 Dimes, and Olympic over any panel 100% of the time. Those are bookmaking legends. You would think with all 4 of those books handling the situation the exact same, people would realize it is the right decision.

couldnt agree more with Clip joint, Halifax, Tang and TT

All good posts and make great points.
Also in another thread CLIP said something like "good for olympic, they shouldnt let anyone tell them how to run their book" I thought that was a terrefic quote.

OLY still A+ and as safe as the bank. They will pay 6 figures without a sweat.
