Boys and girls just ignore this clown and he will go away.

You dont get 11350 plus post in LESS THAN 2 YEARS if you have a life. Lander just like attention and by anwwering him and calling him names just makes him feel important.

I cant believe I just wasted 30 seconds of my life responding to this stupid thread.

People have said the same thing about several other sports like football, basketball and golf that Lander is saying about horse racing.

It's all in the eye of the beholder.

Well, thats a pretty bad comparison. I mean a no-hitter is much more rare. If they played 1 baseball game a year there is a good chance it wouldnt have even happened yet.

I was thinking about the same thing as lander about this race....

overrated
overhyped
All of a sudden Smarty Jones is considered a national treasure...

longstanding, dull, boring traditions making lefthand turns and the participants are overpaid and overrated: horse racing and nascar

I've seen as much action watching the ping pong balls during the powerball drawing.

With most famous horses, after you hit three you are sold for semen (not a bad retirement). Horses can live 20 years after they finish racing and males can stud for most of it. Stud fees for a horse of Smarty Jones caliber could sire many many offspring that others will pay lots of cash for over the next 20 years. There's something to lineage in horse racing (most champions are sired by other champs). So you have a horse that can rase and potentially make a few million/year or sire offspring for 20 somthing years. Direct offspring (bread to capable bays) will probably fetch several hundred thousand (would have been millions if he'd won today).
From the talk before the race breeders were already offering north of 40-50 million for him. What a life, you run an important but sum total of 10 miles and screw the finest phillies for the rest of your life.

What do you like to bet on Lander. A bunch of grown men slobbering all over each other while fighting for a piece of leather?

I bet to win, which I have consistantly done.

Sports include football, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, nascar and boxing.

I don't know didly-squat about golf, but that never stopped me from cashing in a Urchins great picks
