<cite class="el-editorial-source" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-family: CNN, 'Helvetica Neue', Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-weight: 700;">(CNN)</cite>Phil Collins wants you to take a look at him now. He's back from retirement.
The magazine says the singer of "Against All Odds" and "You Can't Hurry Love" is ramping up for a new solo album and a comeback tour.
Social media lit up with the news.
"Phil Collins is going back in the stu-stu-studio!" tweeted Jyn Yates.

Comedian Dane Cook joined in the fun from his Twitter account.
"I'm happy to hear Phil Collins is out of retirement. So many great hit songs. That's just news that makes you feel all sussidio inside."

[h=3]Back on the road[/h]The 64-year-old pop star is recovering from major back surgery from all those years of beating the drums so don't hold your breath for any major touring.
"I don't think I want a very long tour," Collins said. "But I would like to play the stadiums in Australia and the Far East, and that's the only way to do that.
"But there's a part of me that just wants to do theaters, so we'll see."
The news comes as Collins prepares to reissue his solo albums. Remastered deluxe versions of his solo debut "Face Value" from 1981 and 1993's "Both Sides" will come out in January.
[h=3]Retirement over[/h]When we last heard from Collins in early 2011, he was calling it quits to devote more time to his family and be a full-time father to his two young sons.
"My kids are now 10 and 14 and they want to see what their dad does," Collins said. "They were in nappies (diapers) when I was last on the road. They love my music and I'd like to take them out so they can enjoy it."
What about a Genesis reunion? Don't get ahead of yourself.
"Let's start with this [solo] bit first," he said. "I love the guys. I would just prefer to do this first. For now, let's just see how this goes."
I totally forgot this post. It was a great ruse until someone had to mention Phil Collins. Then the gig was up. I am not a Phil Collins fan either. It was just perfect lyrics to pull a ruse.
I had a few chuckles re-reading this today. I needed a good laugh and this did it.

Great Friggin Song. Neighborhood of "Phil Collins", they were in Genesis Together. Or maybe not....Together like in that at the same time or maybe they were.
Thinking it thru I think they were in the band at the same time cuz Phil Collins played Drums, in Genesis was not Lead Singer in that or some thing like this.....one of them was an Instrumentalist within Genesis and not Lead Vocals as they went on to be when they went on to a YUGE Solo career in which they SANG.
Which shocked people cuz they had rarely sang in Genesis.
There was some trippy thing like that.
Tony Banks was Bassist in Genesis and did this, for sure. Rarely sang in Genesis but went on to Solo Career where he sang and made some decent solo music doing that.
As of now, it looks like the tour is just the UK and Ireland. I'm sure if its a success from the band's perspective, there will be North American dates.

Yeah, I'm actually looking at the Glasgow date, as my wife is looking at going to grad school at Univ. Edinburgh and this gives us another excuse to go check it out
I get the feelin' you're tryin' to tell me Is there somethin' that I should know? What excuse are you tryin' to sell me? Should I be readin' stop or go? I don't know
