Good job. Hopefully someone can create a thread everyday to remind you of your fuck-up and how you can't deliver in the clutch.

can't get in to details but it's a he said/she said deal.... i say what happened damaged me but they claim it never happened. i messed up when i contradicted my own deposition from few years ago and pretty much lampooned my own case. my credibility with the jury is shot. as they are showing much more interest/attention with the defense lawyer, a pompous ass that i and my lawyer really wanted to beat.

i am really upset because it happened and they covered it up (e.g. deleting security tapes) and looks like they will get away with it because of my retarded ass. shit i hate myself.

anyone think i should still compensate my lawyer for his time/costs? it was contingency basis but it was still my fault that we lost. he was set to make 5 figures had we won (I would only make 4). so should i pay him what i can? he literally spent hundreds of hours (his normal fee is $250/hr) because the defense made his life miserable by filing motion after motion for 3 years. fuck someone shoot me!

So you file a friviolous lawsuit to try to pick up some free dough, you wasted this guys life for 3 years, than you fuck up in your first moment in 3 years to do anything, and now you are wondering if you should give him some loot.

nah just walk away.

I feel soooooo awful for my lawyer

Now that's one I haven't heard before.

You trying to sleep with this lawyer or something? I'm sure he knows the risks of taking on a case via contingency.

who said it was frivilous????? it was 100% legit. it was a difficult case to prove because it was he said/she said but we had a good chance because the defense contradicted themselves too but my blunder was probably the worst since the burden of proof is on the plaintiff.

i dont think buying him a fruitcake would suffice.

I already explained this. You should be the one paying for everything outside of time...

That is what contingency is...

You should be paying for the experts and all documents and things such as that.

You might be right.... he may send me a bill for thousands of dollars.... so I guess I should wait.

Yeah definitely wait...

You should be approving what he is doing though because it is a contingency case. So if he is hiring some expert at like 2000 a session for 3 sessions you are suppose to approve it...

GL you could be getting quiet the bill just to rub everything else in
