I assume TCU will drop 2 spots in the polls after this huge win?

an Average Arkansas held Ole Miss to less points.............Interesting.......so this has been done before this year and recently

3 vs 0. Hardly a telling point. Also, Ol Miss went yard for yard vs Arkansas, but those 6 turnovers did them in. Ol Miss didn't even have 150 yards in this game and they were even in turnovers.

The lesson here is don't give up 61 points in a regular season game while blowing a huge 4th Quarter Lead or you might get penalized for it

the lesson is.....FU to small private schools. Thumbs up to bigger schools with more alumni.

If TCU/Baylor was Oklahoma/Texas....you better believe OSU would be sitting at #5 instead of #4.

i tried my hardest.

i do contend a team that loses at home to a 6-6 team (that also lost to friggin wake forest) didnt deserve a top 4 spot over a team whose only loss was a road to the #7 team in the country.
Not to mention big12 was a higher rated conference.
But I get why TCU didnt make it. Dont agree, but I get it.

good luck to your Bucks....have to root for them since I cant possibly root for Bama

That's because TCU and Baylor are two small church schools. Can you imagine what they would have done if this was Texas and Oklahoma tied for the Big12 title.

One of them would have got in....probably the "TCU" verson in this example.

I think they need to take the Christian out of their college name. It offends Muslims so to make things politically correct they put Ohio State there since a lot of Muslims live there.

Some good points being made in this thread. As long as the committee decides every spot, lower profile schools will get left out in favor of the big name schools with lots of tradition.

I agree with the notion of lower profile schools likely conceding to big name traditional programs within this committee farce. As stated, if this was Texas-OU we wouldn't be having this discussion. However, I think any team who fails to win their conference is going to have a ton of trouble getting in. There were plenty of arguments for/against Baylor or Ohio State, but TCU just didn't have much of chance IMO.

I don't doubt that they belonged, but it's a tougher argument when one of three teams you are competing against for the final spot beat you and won your conference.

How? Bama got beat by Ole Miss, and Ole Miss dragged Miss St., the team that was No. 1 for a good bit of the Season. Ole Miss put up over 600 yards on Bama. Hate to see what Baylor and TCU would put up, 1000?!?
Bama had nothing to do with my statement. It would make the Playoff Committee look like bafoons for their Ohio State pick over TCU if they get blasted by Bama. Plus it would make Herby lose his street cred after honking for Ohio State on ESPN every chance he got..

If there is any "justice" in CFB, TCU should finish in the top 3, regardless of what happens in the 3 Final Four playoff games. But since when has there been any "justice" in CFB?

They poured it on Mississippi today, like Ohio St. did to Wisconsin to get into the final 4. Remember Mississippi
was the only team to beat Alabama & they were no match for TCU, it was a slaughter. TCU might end up #2 when its all over.

What if Alabama beats Ohio St. 10-9 & Fla. St. beats Ore 14-13, then in the final Alabama beats Fla.St in triple overtime on a long FG so no school in the final 4 looks formidible & the committee considers the outcome against TCU & Alabama one common opponemt Mississippi I bet TCU gets some consideration for #1.
