[h=2]John Oliver perfectly describes the Republican Party's relationship with Donald Trump[/h]Updated by German Lopez on May 16, 2016, 12:04 p.m. ET @germanrlopez german.lopez@vox.com

On Sunday, Last Week Tonight host John Oliver gave perhaps the best description so far of Donald Trump's tenuous relationship with the Republican establishment.
"Trump and the Republican establishment are like a teenage Christian couple who've made an abstinence pledge," Oliver said. "They are going to have sex. It is just a matter of time. But they still need to make a big show of resisting it for anyone who might be paying attention."
In this segment, Oliver was describing the most recent exchange between Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan, who has held back from endorsing the billionaire. But as Oliver noted, the GOP establishment and Trump need each other — Republican leaders acknowledge that the party needs to unite around their candidate (Trump), and Trump now wants the party's money for his campaign.
But the comparison is so brilliant because it really describes Trump's relationship with the Republican Party since he got into the race. For about a year, Trump led all the polls in the primaries. Yet every step of the way, a major chunk of the establishment did everything it could to resist him — propping up Jeb Bush, then Marco Rubio, then Ted Cruz and even John Kasich. It never worked, as Trump won primary after primary and dominated in the polls.
At the time, the Republican establishment really did want an alternative to Trump. But in retrospect, it sure looks like they were resisting the inevitable — making a pledge to abstinence that everyone knew they couldn't keep for much longer.

Yep, I sure do treat extremists of all Religions alike. Still waiting on you to blast someone who posts Muslim hate.

And I've been waiting 6 months for you to respond to the below, when you ran from that meme like the bitch that you are.

Maybe you will refute one of those comparisons, since Fake Religious lying Zit can't seem to. Funny how you never would say the same thing about the disgusting, racist, anti Muslim, anti Obama memes a vile pig like Zit posts.

I mean right wing Christian is going to mean different things to different people. If we are talking about the vast majority of American Evangelical Christians then I'd say beliefs on women's rights is a little different for American evangelicals than under the caliphate. How many evangelicals are taking 9 year olds as brides or taking captured women as slaves? Also funny that you mention abortion. Do many American evangelicals force their (sex) slaves to have abortions or is that a caliphate only deal? How many American evangelicals are stoning women for adultery or lashing them for improper dress? How many evangelicals are advocating stoning homosexuals?

Sure both evangelicals and Islamic militants may view women's (or homosexual) rights differently than you do, but that doesn't mean they are similar. There are some right wing christian cults that may force women into marriage and be fine with rape but it's not your average right wing Christian.

It's also kind of a con-game because the same things you say for Islamic Terrorists could easily be said for Muslims at large. Does that mean all Muslims feel the same as Islamic terrorists? I would hope a fine upstanding liberal like yourself wouldn't say that? I know I wouldn't.

Respond to what? Extremists are extremists. No matter the Religion. Still waiting for you to show where you've blasted a disgusting, Anti Muslim post, or Meme. Since you're full of shit, and haven't, I suppose I'll be waiting awhile. Since you're hunting down old posts, it should be easy to find, Bitch.

This is such bull shit and you know it. Even Vit couldn't defend you on this. Comparing Islamic militants and right wing Christians is absolutely appalling. You want to play these semantic games that they're both "extremists". It's pathetic. You're not smart enough to make this go away with word games. You're not Trump and I'm not a rube.

The Only Bullshit is your absurd claim that you've blasted anti Muslim Memes, and your lame excuse that you don't care to find an example. Not interested in anyone's defense, since I don't need defense. Damn straight I'm not Drumpf.

Donald Trump Hires Pollster After Previously Attacking Them

by Alexandra Jaffe

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will hire pollster Tony Fabrizio, a strategic shift as he reconfigures his campaign with an eye toward the general election.
A source close to the Trump campaign confirmed to NBC News the hire, which was first reported by Politico. Fabrizio is a veteran Republican pollster who most recently worked on Sen. Rand Paul's presidential campaign and Florida Gov. Rick Scott's campaign. He also conducted polling for then-Texas Gov. Rick Perry during the 2012 presidential race.
Fabrizio has deep roots in Florida, and is currently polling for Rep. Ron DeSantis' Senate campaign there. Fabrizio is also longtime friends with Trump adviser Paul Manafort and former campaign adviser Roger Stone, according to Politico.

Trump's hiring of Fabrizio is a significant departure from the candidate's past statements decrying pollsters and dismissing the need for polling to guide his campaign.

Though Trump has been notoriously preoccupied with polling throughout the primary and is known to spend large chunks of his stump speech touting his strength in the latest public polls, he himself never hired one to guide his campaign. And in August, he dismissed the use of pollsters in an interview with NBC News' Chuck Todd.
"I don't have pollsters. I don't want to waste money on pollsters. I don't want to be unreal. I want to be me. I have to be me," Trump said at the time. "You know, we have enough of that in Washington with pollsters telling everybody what to say and everybody being controlled by the special interests, and the lobbyists, et cetera, and the donors."

But with the GOP nomination nearly in hand, Trump has pivoted away from some of his past statements in opposition to traditional campaign tools. Most notably, Trump plans to hold fundraisers and take money from donors after largely self-funding his primary campaign and frequently touting that fact on the stump as evidence that he can't be "bought" like other politicians.

Trump's decision to hire a pollster is as risky as it is necessary as he looks towards the general election. Trump has built his brand around being an unfiltered and unapologetically honest messenger who keeps his own counsel. He risks damaging that brand by relying on message-testing for guidance. (No he doesn't, not with the brainwashed sheep who are most of his supporters)

The bottom line in brackets is not part of the original article, you added those words but you sought to deceive by doing this.

The words you added showcase your typical insulting manner. Over 11 million Americans have so far voted for Trump and you disrespectfully call them brain washed sheep.

Only a brainwashed, brain dead idiot sheep like yourself would think I didn't add the part in parenthesis. But coming from the same idiot who posted a story from the Daily Rash as a news article, no surprise.
