During his speech at the Coast Guard Commencement ceremonies, President Obama warned that climate change was part of the reason behind increasing violence in countries around the world.
Obama pointed out that under his administration, the Pentagon had begun identifying climate change as a “threat multiplier” in world conflicts, although he was careful not to put all the blame on changing weather patterns.
“Understand, climate change did not cause the conflicts we see around the world, yet what we also know is that severe drought helped to create the instability in Nigeria that was exploited by the terrorist group Boko Haram,” he said.
He also claimed that climate change was partially responsible for the brutal civil war in Syria.
“It’s now believed that drought, crop failures, and high food prices helped fuel the early unrest in Syria, which descended into civil war in the heart of the Middle East,” he said.
Obama explained that the United States armed forces would now have to factor in climate change in upcoming missions.
“You need to be ready,” he said to the graduates.

#2. I've never even been to Free Beacon, I don't even know what it is.

I still don't know what it is, you stupid fuck. And, if I ever posted something from there, it was because it was linked from another site.

[h=1]Politics: Clinton Foundation: So hey, turns out we took in $26.4 million more than we disclosed[/h]

What do you mean "donations"?
One of the curiosities I've had about the Clinton Foundation slush fund is how Hillary just wantonly ignored the agreement she'd made with the White House to disclose the donations they were getting while she was Secretary of State. Not that it surprises me she would welch on the agreement. Not at all. That's classic Hillary. But usually they find some sort of clever way to break their word while being able to claim they kept it. That's the Clinton way. I was a little surprised at the idea that she would have just hidden the donations and basically said "screw you" to the White House in the process.
Now it makes sense. The way the Clinton Foundation got around the disclosure obligation was to pretend the donations were something else. They categorized $26.4 million as "revenue" that were actually speaking fees for Bill, Hillary and Chelsea. So in other words, to get around the disclosure obligation, one of the Clintons had to show up and give a speech, thus allowing them to dress up the donation as a payment for services rendered, and thus not covered under the disclosure deal.

[h=1]Hypocrite Mike Huckabee Criticized Obama's Parenting But Supports Molester Josh Duggar[/h]
obama-huckabee.jpg

Hypocrite Mike Huckabee criticized President and First Lady Obama’s parenting because they allow their daughters to listen to Beyonce, but he is supporting Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the parents who covered up their son’s acts of sexual abuse.
In an interview with People, Huckabee criticized President and First Lady Obama’s parenting because they allow their daughters to listen to Beyonce. Huckabee said, “That’s the whole point. I don’t understand how on one hand they can be such doting parents and so careful about the intake of everything – how much broccoli they eat and where they go to school and making sure they’re kind of sheltered and shielded from so many things – and yet they don’t see anything that might not be suitable for either a preteen or a teen in some of the lyrical content and choreography of Beyoncé, who has sort of a regular key to the door” of the White House.”
In Huckabee’s view, the Obamas are bad parents because they let their daughters listen to Beyonce, but apparently Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar cover up of their son’s molestation of female family members is more in line with his kind of parenting.

While defending Josh Duggar, Huckabee wrote, “Janet and I want to affirm our support for the Duggar family. Josh’s actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, ‘inexcusable,’ but that doesn’t mean ‘unforgivable.’ He and his family dealt with it and were honest and open about it with the victims and the authorities. No purpose whatsoever is served by those who are now trying to discredit Josh or his family by sensationalizing the story. Good people make mistakes and do regrettable and even disgusting things. The reason that the law protects disclosure of many actions on the part of a minor is that the society has traditionally understood something that today’s blood-thirsty media does not understand—that being a minor means that one’s judgement is not mature. No one needs to defend Josh’s actions as a teenager, but the fact that he confessed his sins to those he harmed, sought help, and has gone forward to live a responsible and circumspect life as an adult is testament to his family’s authenticity and humility. Those who have enjoyed revealing this long ago sins in order to discredit the Duggar family have actually revealed their own insensitive bloodthirst, for there was no consideration of the fact that the victims wanted this to be left in the past and ultimately a judge had the information on file destroyed—not to protect Josh, but the innocent victims. Janet and I love Jim Bob and Michelle and their entire family. They are no more perfect a family than any family, but their Christian witness is not marred in our eyes because following Christ is not a declaration of our perfection, but of HIS perfection. It is precisely because we are all sinners that we need His grace and His forgiveness. We have been blessed to receive God’s love and we would do no less than to extend our love and support for our friends. In fact, it is such times as this, when real friends show up and stand up. Today, Janet and I want to show up and stand up for our friends. Let others run from them. We will run to them with our support.”

In Huckabee world, the Obamas deserve criticism for raising good kids that are never in trouble while the Duggars deserve support for covering up and hiding their son’s acts of sexual abuse.

Mike Huckabee’s hypocrisy deserves to be called out. Many conservatives held up the Duggars as their vision of the ideal family while spewing hatred towards the Obamas. The Duggars covered up sexual abuse. What they did wasn’t just bad parenting, it was criminal.
Mike Huckabee owes President Obama an apology.

Josh Duggar — And The Conservative Infatuation With Fame
Posted By Matt K. Lewis On 11:54 AM 05/22/2015

By now, you’ve heard about the Josh Duggar molestation scandal. I’m not going to rehash it. Nor am I going to get on a soapbox about the hypocrisy of people preaching values having a plank in their own eye — or the increasingly creepy connotation attached to a reality show titled, “19 Kids And Counting.” And lastly, I’m not going to criticize the numerous Republican politicians who posed for photos with Duggar (if you’re famous and someone wants a picture, you usually grant it).
What I am going to do is zero in on what struck me as an especially interesting, if largely unrelated, sentence in the Washington Post’s coverage of the story: “Duggar was running a used-car lot before he became the new face of the Family Research Council.”
How does this happen? I’m not suggesting that someone who runs a used car lot in Arkansas can’t eventually become the executive director of a group like FRC Action. But is that where you start? Shouldn’t you maybe, I don’t know, work for a social conservative outfit before being promoted to essentially running one?
Of course, this sort of favoritism and lack of vetting is utterly consistent with a conservative movement that is starstruck. Despite all the talk about hating Hollywood, conservatives generally turn into fawning fanboys the minute a celeb shows us a little love.

It doesn’t even matter how big a name. It can be a race car driver, a washed up, aging actor, or even the oldest son on a reality TV show. Doesn’t matter. We can’t get enough.
It’s why Phil Robertson gets a political platform. It’s why Clint Eastwood got to debate a chair. It’s why Kid Rock gets trotted out on TV and at campaign appearances And it’s why, if the first GOP primary debate were held today, Donald Trump would probably be included (while John Kasich, Bobby Jindal, and Lindsey Graham would not) …

Someone has a strong unnatural attraction that keeps causing trouble. (And no, I’m not talking about Duggar’s alleged activities here.)

At the same time that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar were covering up the fact that their eldest son Josh was molesting young girls — including his sisters — the mother of 19 was traveling around the country accepting awards for being “Mother of the Year.”

One of the awards she received was from a pastor who later left his ministry after admitting to adultery.
In a 2004 profile on CBS, entitled “What a Mother!” Michelle Duggar is quoted as saying, “We actually didn’t set out to have a large number of children. I don’t think that was our intention when we were first married. But I think we realized children are a gift.”
The CBS story on the Duggars was built upon Michelle Duggar being given the “Young Mother of the Year Award” in Arkansas, sponsored by American Mothers Incorporated.
At the time of that award, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar were a year or two removed from hushing up the child molestation scandal that burst upon the scene this week.

In the CBS video, 16-year-old Josh Duggar is seen describing the parade of siblings who followed him into the world, saying, “I just got used to it. They way they came along. They kept coming and they kept coming.”
In 2010, Michelle Duggar was honored again, this time by the Vision Forum Ministries of Texas at their “Baby Conference.”
“Michelle Duggar is the real deal,” said Doug Phillips, President of Vision Forum Ministries. “She embodies the very best of a Christian role model for women. She is a highly intelligent and gracious woman of God and a capable and faithful helpmeet to her husband Jim Bob. As a mother, Michelle is singular. She has modeled for millions a passion for God’s gift of the fruit of the womb and a tenderness and wisdom in raising her 19 children that have been downright inspiring.”

Vision Forum leader Phillips stepped down from the ministry in 2013 after admitting to “an inappropriate extra-marital relationship with a woman.” He was later excommunicated by the church, and VisionForum Ministries was shuttered as donations dried up.

Obama's support among the military is 14%.
Our servicemen—black and white alike—know what a fraud he is, even if liberals don't.

[h=1]Bernie Sanders: ‘When You Hustle Money’ Like Hillary, It Isolates You from Reality[/h] 7

The Associated Press

by Breitbart News26 May 20158
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), the socialist who is challenging Hillary Clinton for the Democrat party’s presidential nomination, believes that the millions Hillary Clinton made from speaking fees can only make her even more out of touch with the everyday Americans she is purporting to champion.
“When you hustle money like that, you don’t sit in restaurants like this,” Sanders told CNBC before his Tuesday campaign kickoff event. “You sit in restaurants where you’re spending—I don’t know what they spend—hundreds of dollars for dinner and so forth. That’s the world that you’re accustomed to, and that’s the world view that you adopt. You’re not worrying about a kid three blocks away from here whose mom can’t afford to feed him.”
He added, “So yes, I think that can isolate you—that type of wealth has the potential to isolate you from the reality of the world.”
After mainstream media outlets confirmed the numerous pay-to-play revelations in Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer’s blockbuster book, Clinton Cash, the Clintons have come under even more fire for their financial dealings and those of their family’s foundation, which received millions in donations from individuals, corporation and nations that may have sought to influence Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
Financial disclosures revealed that Bill and Hillary Clinton made more than $25 million in speaking fees alone since the start of 2014. The Clinton Foundation also revealed last week that it has received more than $12 million in speaking fees that were donated to the foundation from speeches that Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton have given since 2002.
