Wind has more of a factor than anything. 10mph isn't bad....20 starts to have a little effect

This is the single most important factor. Heavy cross winds make it very difficult to throw the ball which turns it into a running game. Defenses know passing is eliminated, so stack up against the run. Kills the total. Pay most attention to the wind. :toast:

I'm sitting in a hotel room in Austin for the Formula One race. Gonna be rough weather for football.

Thanks for your post! I see the current Waco weather conditions (via weather.com) are a cross wind of a little more than 11 mph. When should we be concerned? At 20 mph? :think2:

Rain really doesn't affect the game that much. Wind is the only thing that really does. Maybe back in the day when you had grass fields that didn't drain well but now with field turf and fields that drain better than ever it really is a moot point. Wind on the other hand is a big factor in the passing game and kicking game but it needs to be 25-30 MPH. I just see people all the time hit the under because of rain and it really has no affect.

Game will be cancelled due to flooding in the area would be my guess. Most games in Texas probably will be cancelled most likely.

I suspect you're correct. I can't see how they'll play these games under these conditions. :)!/

The theory that offenses have huge advantages in the rain/snow, thus lots of points are scored, is very much true. HOWEVER...If you guys saw the same video I just saw that they showed on College Gameday, then you'll see that those are not your normal rain circumstances. That was a straight downpour. Go ahead and favor the offenses, but they should no doubt be slowed by that weather if that torrential rain continues.

I hope it is a nice room...nothing more dismal than waiting out bad weather......Good luck with your plays today

That last video didn't seem so bad. Look like it let up.

I'm staying away. Haha

We'll see how Mclane stadium holds up to the rain. Put $50 on ISU ML at +16000. Who knows what could happen in these conditions.

Rain and snow are huge advantages for offense. Someone already said this, but when you're on defense the single most important thing is your footing in order to change direction and keep up with receivers.... Wind is truly the only element that I feel effects an offense.... I've been burned way to many times betting unders on heavy snow and rain days
