Of course, they try to water down the theory and explain it away naturally. Although, to be fair, the original theory was that it was natural, however it has evolved to being non-natural based upon evidence. The problem is the levels of xenon 129 present can only come from fast neutron fission. No natural known process can explain it. We can however correlate it to the human provoked nuclear detonations on Earth, as stated in the article. Whatever the detonation was, it wasn't on the ground, hence the "nuked from space".

I think by 2050, we will see an entity whether its fashioned & created by the govt, secret society's of this world, or an entity from another dimension, will appear & change the worlds view on how we live, whether its peace, or whether we want to destroy ourselves, I think we will see our govts of the world grasp this new reality & welcome it.

I definitely think AI will have a huge impact on our society in the next 20-30 years........I also have read that technological advances will multiply 100 fold by 2050 compared to what we've seen from 1990 to 2015..........

Advancements that would have taken 10 years in the past will only take months if not weeks in the future.

Pandoras box has been open, there's no going back, in fact, we can't even slow it down........

That's a pretty vague prediction that it's likely to happen. An entity could refer to new technology. Do I think there will be some kind of world changing technology by 2050? Yes, there has to be.
To say that aliens will visit here by that time is crazy considering that most scientists disagree based on the laws of physics alone. To travel such long distances and in the end for what? To say "hi, how you doing?"

I'm.not just talking bout AI reaching pinnacle heights.......I'm talking about technology, medicine, science, etc.......

There's a doctor/scientist name Dr Anthony Atala at Wake Forest U. that is doing remarkable achievements with stem cell research.......the US military/govt has signed on to his remarkable medical team & their abilities to grow organs using a persons own cells.

They've already grown gall bladders, kidneys, etc......& have placed them in humans bodies & there is 0% of the body rejecting the organ because the organ was grown in a lab using the persons cells......unbelievable stuff.

They say within 20-30 years, they will be able to give a person any part of the human body.........the military is using Dr Anthony Atala & his team for our men coming back with serious wounds.......this doctor will be able to give these soldiers their lives back.

Of course most of the major organs like the heart, the genitals, etc are about 10 years away from being placed onside a human.

My point being is, our future is gonna quicken in all these fields........& I really do believe by 2050, we will be doing things that we thought wasnt capable of being done as early as we thought.

Yeah, I don't think AI is a threat but that would be the other lifeform if it were to come.

As far as technology goes, we should see some amazing things in our lifetime relating to energy, transport, medicine, regenerative therapy, food etc

Sooner than later as well. The US is going to see some major innovations in the next 10-15 years or so.

Drifting toward the op point, Im not sure that telecope has to be all that big. We can look at Mars and possibly find signs of whatever was there before it was nuked. NASA has known since the 70's Viking Mission than xenon 129 exists in the martian atmosphere. Thats not a natural phenominon. Somebody nuked Mars from space 250-500 million years ago...and this comes from somebody that worked on that mission, an expert in the weapons field.

I like how Braun suggests we used the Russians as an enemy, & then terrorists & then finally the aliens.......all 3 we have/are/will be fighting against.

This terrorist war thing could last until the end of time, I don't ever see it ending......its like the war on drugs......but it sure lines a lot of pockets with tons of money.

The alien part is probably go hand in hand with uncertainty & wars & people looking for peace when they roll in.

going to play devils advocate here but isn't that basis on what science currently understands? you said in the sentence before 2050 some kind of world changing technology is more that likely to happen.
