ACE, Thanks for the reply-- I do value your picks and opinions. I realize that I am risking a large chunk of my bankroll on this play, if Indy doesn't cover and I do lose, I will still have about 15 units (assuming that I hit the two team parlay NE -1 / Indy -4) and I can always build up from there again. I started the football season with 2 units.
My thinking on this game is to start getting while the getting is good. That is, the Colts are playing Sunday to help guarantee a playoff spot. What better way for them to do that than a big win at home against a broken-down division rival. With a Colts win and a Jacksonville loss (though I think that Pitts/Jax game is gonna be close)-- The Colts a playoff spot.
I also have this feeling that Manning wants to put this whole Marino TD record behind him, so his team can focus on winning. I excpect at least 3 passing TD's on Sunday-- maybe four. Titans Defense is decimated-- last week I read somewhere they only had 44 players available to play!
Gamehendge said it best-- I think Indy scores alot of points Sunday, its just weather or not the Titans score. Indy defense is confident, at home, and ready to pick on the gimpy titans. Does Steve McNair start? Does Chris Brown start? There is a good chance both of them are on the bench at game time. Though I'm not sure how good this Billy Volek kid is and whether or not he's better than an sore/gimpy McNair.
