THE 1ST GAME OF THE YEAR AND YOU WANT A EDGE ON A PRE GAME????
OK THIS IS WHAT I GOT SO FAR....I GOT A GUY THAT HAS GONE TO ATL TRAINING CAMP....THIS IS WHAT HE SAID::::
Start off with the Quarterbacking,
# 7 Michael Vick, Looking very well, apparently the bone spurs and shoulder problems are of the past. Vick hit about 95% of his passes thrown and was running and scrambling very well.Eluding the defense for 5 to 10 yards in a 7 on 7 line up. He's
looking good on the fake run as well. Throwing the ball hard and running fast, All in all I was surprised to see that Vick is playing extremely well in practice.
# 14 Ty Detmer, looking slow off the line, throwing short inside passes, nothing real long, and off the mark a little, the recievers were having to move to the ball more than turn and grab.
# 3 Bryan Randall, the new rookie QB, is looking very well a strong backup to Vick, if this man plays look for some good stuff once he gets comfortable on the field, throwing strong and running fast, good fake passer. Also he was back up to Vick in college so they should work well together.
All others,
# 83 Alge Crumpler TE, looking very strong and healthy, in the offense-defense drills, not once did anyone get around him, most hit the grass.
# 87 Romby Bryant WR, did well on fake routes, however only 50% on the long pass
# 15 Cole Magner Rookie WR, look for this guy to play well if he plays like he did in practice, great hands, catching overthrown balls with ease, jumping high and reaching far to make the catch.
# 17 Derrick Tinsley Rookie WR, I was not impressed with this guy, he missed a lot of his passes, and not a strong runner from what I have seen so far.
# 12 Michael Jenkins WR, not a strong show for the 2yr player, 50% on his catches, but running well.
# 89 Dez White WR, playing very well on the long pass
# 35 Jason Wright RB, looking well running the ball, no fumbles
# 28 Warrick Dunn RB, looking even better, no fumbles and fighting to stay on his feet
# 45 T.J. Duckett RB, playing well, hard hitting, no fumbles
# 38 Ronnie Heard S, this guy can take some hits
# 21 DeAngelo Hall CB, playing good defense, healthy
# 52 Jordan Beck Rookie LB, watch this guy, he was getting the QB 75% of the time, he is tough and hits very hard.
# 39 Carey Davis FB, This guy is gonna hurt somebody, hits extremely hard even after the takedown.
I'd say this was a very good practice, interesting to say the least, being that I'm an Eagles fan. The Offense was beating the defense 65% of the time on the pass, and the defense was beating the offense 50% on the run, there was an interesting fight on a play between # 45 T.J. Duckett and # 88 Mark Anelli, took about 4 other players and 2 coaches to seperate them, would have loved to know what that was about, but the whistles just kept blowing and so did they. The Defense isn't as strong as the Offense that I have seen so I can't wait for the next practice.
