Could it be the markets are so propped up because we live in a world totally awash with capital. Look how many billionaires and multi millionaires there are now globally compared to 10 years ago. Look how much $ has been put into 401ks and pension funds in the last 10 years.

While the stock market and economy in general have been sluggish the last 8-9 years, there has been an explosion in personal wealth. With all of this $ needing a place to park it seems like the market will be able to be propped possibly....

From what Ive read those millionaires and billionaires you are referring to have already pulled out of the market within the last year. Watch the volume being traded. It is usually way down anymore. The market is way over valued right now and will come back to Earth eventually.

Where did they put their $? Im sure a good chunk of the average rich persons net worth is still in blue chip stocks. Unless we are in a bear market you just wont see 15 being the avg PE or 4% being the average dividend yield on a regular basis.

Also, dont you think people probably feel stocks are less risky now than historically? We just had what was supposedly the Great Recession and the stock market cameback 100% from the bottom in just 2 years.

Just heard Chapman talking today and he said that the market is still rising because the insiders already know QE3 is coming eventually.

Also read another article today by someone else who claims this latest seizure of the 401k funds is essentially QE 3 in disguise FWTW.

I dont understand this comment

The way it was told was that the government is obviously broke, and right now there is no printing going on (qe3) so they have raided the government pension funds to get the money from there right now rather than print it. So in essence its like a qe light version, but it wont last forever so QE 3 will be coming down the pipeline.

I'm sure they are drawing up a plan at Bilderberg as we speak.

Yea, I heard about that. Turbo Tim pulled the money out of government pension plans calling it de-investing.
I thought you said 401K though.
No way they can touch my 401
That would be the day the revolution begins.
