yes, i admitt i'm a big pitt fan & i will say they have underachieved in the tourney before but this is still a great team & great league inspite of their struggles today.

hey bud Im from WV so Ive followed the big East for a long time its not that I have a bet or Im biased against them...and I didnt see any team that really rated a number one in the country......but by beating each other they kept them highly ranked

they got high seeds because they were kept ranked high from beating each other......hell the ACC ...SEC and big 12 were just as good but they werent always ranked in the top 10 and neither should a few of the big east teams either

all Im saying is that every team pads their record with easy victories before conference play starts so damn near every team has 20 to 25 wins and thats any conference.......but for whatever reason they kept the big East teams ranked high hell at one point even fan favorite ND was ranked 6th.....but do you the they were the 6th best team in the country ......hell no and the same goes for U Conn and Marq.....hell WVU wasnt even ranked and damn near made to the championship game in the tourney.......the conference just isnt as strong as your mking them out to be..........

oklahoma st dosen't put near the pressure on the ball that e. tenn st has today.they rank near the bottom of the big 12 in rebounding & turnovers forced. they also have almost no size in the middle which will doom them more than likely. do they have a chance? of course they do. will they win? i highly doubt it.

the conference was definitely top heavy but those teams at the top are definitely excellent teams. pitt, uconn & louisville all deserved number 1 seeds. you can make a case that uconn could have been a 2 seed but that's it. my point is that if pitt was winning this game by 25 we wouldn't be having this conversation at all. it;s based on one outcome. if pitt wasn't one of the top 4 or 5 teams inthe country then iv'e been fooled all year long. there is no debating they are at the very least top 10. i don't agree qwith the so called experts & all the commitee's selections but they do tend to know a lot about the sport. when almost every analyst has pitt as a final 4 team i'd say that means they have a damn good team wether they make it to the final 4 or not.

i will say this now. pitt had their scare today. they will beat oklahoma st. by at least 8-10 points or i will come back & admitt they were over seeded & have no shot at the final 4. the matchups are bad for oklahoma st here so if they hang with pitt it will be pitt underachieving again.
