Hard to tell. Some winners gave up after no contact from Jack..but you're in the ballpark from what i hear...alot of stalling from Jack and Wayne. Wayne also got exposed for doubling as Jack by emaiing certain posters asking them for payment info to send money. Never happened...just a complete fraud on all counts , including the Govenor ...a few partial payments might have gone out , but no one is posting yet that any funds have been sent since thread was started

Thanks Red Eye-even if everyone eventually gets paid, which I doubt, until proven otherwise, it sure smells like pure embezzlement by one or more persons at CM.

On to comp. line message for today:

On ext. 9 first we get the same tired/hackneyed message we always get re: the PowerPlays Newsletter-how it is a projected box score of how many yards

will be gained, rushing yards,passing yardage, blah, blah, blah and with a projected final score for every game-then you get six-seven picks.

And then we get the usual spiel from Todd about how he compares and circles all of the zillion projected this and that's and then compares them to what

actually happens in each game and if they are within 5-10 yards, he circles them.

He claims that there are these alleged circles all over the place because the projections are so accurate. lol

This sounds like the kind of UNDOCUMENTED bullshit we get all the time, and when we hear about this week or that week being the "deepest card of the season"

It turns out to be deep all right most of the time, "deep" in that the hole is full of doo doo which people who bought/played the picks find themselves in after playing these picks.

Anyways the POWERPLAYS NEWSLETTER PLAY of the WEEK is NEVADA + 10 1/2.

We also get the usual never changing promo re: pricing and how it is cheaper if you buy both PowerPOOP Newsletters.

I was going to address some of this stuff in the new thread in my opening statements, but since you asked, I will tell what you think.

First of all personally I do not either play the NC Plays or fade them per se.

That said, I usually do play the Games of Something if the particular play has a strong historical record such as the famed September Five Star and the GOY.

I just post the plays I get assuming they are available, and keep track of how THE LATE PHONES do every week and cumulatively, as these are supposed

to be the strongest plays that NC releases.

While I will post the Marquees as well as all of the other many different plays NC has(eg regular Marquees, Double

Marquees, Triple Marquees, Top Opinion, Regular Opinion, had to pick, this playoff the week, that play of the week, this club's pays, that club's plays etc.),

I do not keep track of their record as they are not star rated, and imo are just put out there so that Phil Steele/NC can hopefully find something

to brag about each week which won.

Also, I do not keep records of the comps. although Todd usually announces how they have done each year so far on each day when he gives them out

as well as over a period of years.

Assuming you want a more thorough record for the comps., up until this year anyways, you can find a thread at this at another forum(it is obvious which

one it is although I would not rather name it)-I can't guarantee it will be done again over there, although chances are it will be.

Also, if for some reason you are not aware, if you check out the Sports Monitor of Oklahoma City, you can find out how each individual type of NC

play has done for current season, and if I am not mistaken, for other past seasons also(I don't think that applies to the comps. even though

they are actual plays).

As far as the negative progression goes, you will have to decide that based on your criterion.

That said, feel free in the new thread to offer an opinion on any of the NC picks based on your work.

On ext. 9 we get the same spiel promotion as usual(the price of PS has gone up to $109) but because of the "generosity" of Phil Steele/NC, we are told

that not only will that include the College Thursday Marquee but also full Executive Service for the NFL for THURSDAYt as well as the September College Five Star.

What is interesting about that is that in post 171, we were told on ext. 3 that someone signing up for PowerSweep would get the ENTIRE Week of Full Executive

College Service for $125 for a PS Subscriber and $62.50 for a non PS subscriber.

The message on ext. 3 was not changed today and still has the Underdog Play.

Conclusions/Questions:

Is the price of $125/$62.50 still in effect with the bonuses included as stated on ext 3 and especially the $62.50 for a PS subscriber

and/ or is that overridden by what is on ext. 9 today-eg can a PS subscriber receive the entire week of everything put out by NC

for $62.50 or is that no longer in effect, and the someone subscribing today has to pay the $109 and gets far less for his money

this week(ONLY the Thursday night College Marquee and ONLY the Thursday NFL(not rest of the weekend) and the September Five Star)?

I have uncovered and posted confusing and conflicting shit like this over the four years I ran the Phil Steele/NC Thread at CM.

It tells me that Phil and company are so intent and desperate to get people to sign up, that they throw out just about anything without

taking the time to see how confusing and conflicting their promos are.

If this is directed at me, most of the time last year the star rated played were posted prior to the start of the game at CM and I assume RX.

Sometimes during NFL Preseason including this yeara few times there has been a little difficulty into getting plays posted prior to their

start especially with the Marquees.

Hopefully during the upcoming season, getting the plays especially the Late Phone star rated ones PRIOR to their start but no guarantees because imo NC has nowhere

near the number of people buying these picks as they did in years past, meaning it is a little more difficult to get them posted in a timely fashion.
