How often is the "steam" (the side most money is being bet on) right on a pick?

I think following steam is not a very useful angle in itself but combined with another it might be good, like say if you know the public is on one side but the steam is on the other side then it's safe to assume the "smart" money is moving the steam and so following steam in this case is probably a good idea.

Then again what do I know, I'm getting my ass handed to me in the only contest I'm in (hockey).

Steam on sides is for suckers,,, steam on totals has a Quantified Value,,,,
Last night the NY game STEAMED UNDER 3 points,,, unfortunately they went WAY over for the game,,, you will have to find your own statistics for the moves,,,,but with Totals there is value,, even at an already steamed line,,, this is because of the value of a pt wiht a total versus a VALUE of a pt with a side,,,HUGE DIFFERENCE,,

'steam' is an excellent way of removing a sticker that has been stuck on for many years....

additionally it can be helpful in opening a letter withour ripping the envelope.

Most common number is 7. Not really "key" in that is does not occur at high enough frequency to warrant buying poiints at 10 cents.

I also do not believe 10 occurs as frequently in the NFL as you may think..
