I guess I have been very lucky over the years. I have been on both sides of the fence. On the betting side I have never been stiffed. I have only used two offshore books 5D and Carib. Never have had a problem. As for a local I will only bet with people that I know were they are living at. I want to make sure I will collect my money if I win.

I always said it was better for the bettors to lose a little each week. We had a 100 people betting with us. All I wanted was for them was to lose a $100 dollar's each week. It made it very easy to collect no problems. The problems was when people owe you the 4 figure amounts.

about 200 bucks when some kind of online cash transfer service got taken over a few years ago. Can't even remember what it was called. I always keep my balances low on sportsbooks and when I'm winning I cash out at least once a month to avoid big losses if one of these places goes bankrupt or gets taken over by the government
One guy ran a local card game and began booking. I lost 15 k to him one weekend and said screw it and chased the next weekend hitting him for 45+K...he didn't have it and now won't talk to me and his poker game has gone belly up.
The other guy was a bookie out of CA y
that another book recommended me to. I went on a roll on MLB and the guy let me bet a dime a game. After a few months of hitting at about a 75% clip he had paid me out close to 40K but still owed me a good chunk and was sending me checks that he told me to cash at a later day. Now I'm stuck with a 24,000 bad check...
this does suck man.. for sure... I assume guy is a criminal anyway because he is a bookie and probably does anythings so writing a bad check means nothing to him but he could goto prison alone for that 24k check.. I am sure you are hoping for him to make good on it and everything which is why you are waiting it out.. I just wish there was a way to at least get him in hot water and still have a chance for collecting. ha.. sucks when caught in the middle like that...

I hope he does pay though... seriously it does suck.. i mean he should have cut you off before you buried him maybe but he was in his mind "free-rolling you" hoping you would lose it back and come down to earth..

I've been very lucky so far, but I usually deal with only A or A+ books. The only offshore that got me...although that's still undecided....was Full Tilt. They owe me $200, but I only had $10 invested as I let a friend of mine play the account and he ran it up to $200. I think we even took a $200 payout that we split, way before they went belly up.
