After dipping to a low of around 3.38 4 weeks ago, gas seems to be going up again almost daily. Arco usually has the lowest prices around, and even they can vary from station to station.

Lowest I've seen lately is back to pushing 3.80 a gallon.

What's the excuse for the prices being so high? I know it's because of the commodities markets high price for a gallon of oil, but these companies aren't paying that price for a barrel of oil. All their costs are established and have nothing to do with what the commodity prices are currently on the market.

Say ur running for class president. They sell candy at ur school...You have a friend, lets call him George S. You tell George to buy-up the candy so it is in very short supply. And so the prices skyrocket...go up damn near daily. Eventually it gets so high there is about to be riots and its causing a lot of trouble within the school. Then with a few weeks before the election you tell the kids "Im on your side to fight these high candy prices". You call ur buddy George, he lets loose the supplies...the prices drop and guess who is the next class president???????
