$100 units 5* my highest. Sometimes 10* on Championship games like the SuperBowl and such. It seems if bet smaller i place more bets, so i keep it 3 upto 5 picks a day.

since i'm in college....my bankroll is really never more than 300$ at any given time (unless i'm up)...i usually play like an idiot, regretably. i usually play at $50 a bet, sometimes 20, sometimes 100. i'm up right now so i'm playing with $100 a bet because i'm stupid. but i survive around here off of gambling, so far so good. i don't recommend to anyone the way that i play, because it's stupid.

$5 per game.

I go with a friend of mine who also likes this unit. Having done $100 or more per game in college and at other times in my life, what I've discovered is that everything is relative.

Action is action. When you get used to $5 action, it's just as exciting as $100 action.

IMHO, of course.

A gazillion dollars! Just kidding.

Actually I am a very small bettor at $10 a unit. So my bets are $10-$20-$30.

Baseball I might go a little bigger.

trying to control myself playing a nickel to a dime per game and limiting my action to my picks the night before........

during football season 1-3k is normal for me........
in the past, i have flipped a coin for 5k wagers, the last being oak at anaheim, baseball - and lost........... ive played 5k parlays, the last being dallas and over vs ny gmen - and lost........ ive had up to 15k on a single game, the last being no saints vs gb pack monday night - and won..........

had a good football season, and doing well in baskets......... keeping my fingers crossed........ gl all

I'm a college student and started betting around junior year in high school and have ended up with profitable seasons ever since...this year one unit for me is 25 and on average my plays range from 2 to 3 i rarely do a 1 unit play and on very rare occasion 4 units so $100

I bet a nickel and dime a game... Started using a bookie 8 years ago in college and kept extending credit to me so my weekly credit line would be around 10k to 20k. This ended up not being a good thing. Lesson learned from this is don't bet over your means it gets you in trouble, and don't use bookies. Because for among many other reasons the credit they extend to you can easily create a disconnect with financial reality.

I'm a married guy with 2 kids. I just play $5 per game and it's fun; not lifethreatening.

the financial reality thing is very true.

20 is one unit for me....i go up to 100 on plays but most are in the 20-50 range...For a while i was betting too much for my bank account and that is not a situation you want to find yourself in. If you are really banking on a game for next months rent or because if you don't hit it you can't pay it is a horrible feeling and sooner or later you will lose one of those bets or have a bad night... if i have learned one thing from the rx it is MONEY MANAGEMENT money management money management.......don't try and get it all back on one game....gambling of any kind is a grind if you do it for the long haul. It is really nice when you are down 100 and you bet 100 on the last game of the night and hit but if you don't it is very bad. Just know sports betting is streaky...increase your units as your bank roll increases....

i've also learned its not real money until you cash out and have it in hand...if you have a great night don't go spending it yet because you might have a bad night the next and it is nice to have a cushion....play with profit is less stressful than playing catch up

Betting

I usually bet 50 a game. Occassionally depending if i am up i do 75, 100 up to 200 on a game.
I notice i always win the small plays and lose the large ones.
Discipline is key. Much like many who play i have over extended myself and had to pay alot of money. It is depressing.

Now i play small win or lose i do not feel as bad.

Good luck to all and thanks for all who post plays.

$250 a "unit", but pretty much everything is 1 unit. Rarely will go to 2 or 3 units.

anywhere between $5-$100 if i think its a strong play. I play $5 on a game that I am going to watch and in my mind its a coin flip just to make the game a bit more interesting

I would hate to see the weekly balance of some of the guys who have 10 games on the card per week night and 15-25 games on a saturday and then say they usually play $200-500 per bet.
