Would love to make a stop in the Midwest, but never given Nebraska a thought. What's appealing about it and the best parts of living there?

For a vacation spot? Nothing, however a home Nebraska football game is fantastic.

About living here...good people. It's really true and ask people that come from other teams to play Nebraska football how nice everyone is, 10's of thousands of fans hang around and stand and applaud when the other team leaves the field (win or lose). It's real and true. But besides that good job market, Omaha and Lincoln are great cities, enough to do but not a nightmare to get around and crime is extremely low. Low cost of living, list goes on and on.

No oceans, cold winters, hot summers but to live and raise a family I have yet to find a better place. EDIT yet meaning I vacation...a lot and I love almost every place I visit but to do my daily routine I haven't found a better place.

I hear ya, thanks. The "not haves" you speak of for Nebraska is why SC does it for me. We have everything you listed (Nebraska football sounds like SC and Clemson), coupled with Southern Hospitality, great food, and beautiful natural surroundings, makes it hard to beat.

Only lived in Alabama. Have nothing to compare it to. Its not as hillbilly as you see on tv if you are in civilization. Out in the sticks its basically what you see on tv.

Carolinas is where it's at...hard to beat IMO, however, I'd like to give the Midwest a try soon, really soon...

Don't. Literally no advantage to living in the Midwest. Zero. I would never go back.

Don't get me wrong, there are some cool cities. I lived in Milwaukee for awhile and it was a really cool city. But the weather man. Fuck that.

South has better weather, nicer people, hotter girls., better food.

California, New York, Nevada. Nevada is by far my favorite, because I'm free to do the things I want to do here.
