Wow I wish we knew each other at the time, I would of begged you not to play Iowa in that game.

I was at this game and got swayed into taking the IOWA side because of a couple/three things..........

1. There were 55,000+ IOWA fans at this game compared to around 1,000 USC fans.

2. Iowa had a very, very good team that year.

3. Beer(quite possibly the greatest tailgate in CFB BOWL history).

I think if I saw that -8.5 it would of been a 10 unit.. I knew Tate was going to play, he was ready last week against Syracuse but they didn't want to risk him..

I made the line 9.5 with Tate so didn't think after they held off on the line for 2 days that they opened it thinking he wasn't playing. Can't believe it moved 6 pts!

I don't see Iowa St scoring much in here. You saw how crazy good Iowa's D was last week when Syracuse had 7 tries inside the 2yd line and couldn't punch it in. Your boys are good this year..

I have seen them do that before. Happens all the time during CBB where lines fluctuate immensely.. LYING DICKS!!

I'm guessing they opened it at 8.5 and then took off board and reopened it again at the 12.

State is tough in the trenches.

Iowa clearly more talented at the skills positions.

Niether team has covered this year. Ugh.

Good/great defensive line........but they showed no pass rush against a weak Syracuse team.

Receivers are a HUGE question mark for this Iowa team, as other than TE Chandler, this is the weakest they have been at this position for as long as I can remember................and is a real concern of mine. They need one or two of the youngsters to step-up bigtime.

Damn. I think Fish is right. State is the play. If they are banged up at skills positions and then also last year, state controlled the trenches. Really, all state has to do is overcome crowd noise to cover.

I expect IOWA to have 280+ yards rushing today.

:monsters- ....i think totally opposite...expect Tate to have a field day against their weak 2ndary and get his revenge from last year. But still expect 150 on the ground.

Iowa State will NOT control the trenches.

Iowa OL and DL are FAR superior this year to that of IOWA STATE.

IOWA STATE defense is very young(lost 8 starters last year) and have had terrible recruiting classes until this past year the three years prior.

This game should be an measure of how good the Hawkeyes really are. I am guessing Iowa was just lethargic against Syracuse on both sides of the ball and stepped it up when they really had too..
