Several years ago at old Cleveland Stadium they had a booth set up where one could test one's pitch speed. I hit 65 mph. They gave me a certificate with my speed. I asked them to write 103 mph but no go.

This is true.
I use to get clocked with a real gun when I played and was in the 80s.

Then go down to the astrodome the same week and it shows 70

Plus In those cages at the ballparks you are only throwing the ball 15 feet vs 60 feet. That makes a big difference
