True. I bought a couple Gold Sheets when I first started out for an edge. That was a solid waste of cash. It was the first and only time I ever paid for picks.

When I first started betting the horses about 10-12 years ago I used to buy full cards at Turfway from Mike Battaglia's brother. Think his name was Tom. They were reasonably priced and he was pretty good. Did that for a couple months til I learned to handicap horses on my own.
