Journey, I think its obvious that most of us in here really know sports and our stuff, whether it be football, basketball, hockey, baseball, etc........or all! So I think the majority of us expect to win most of our wagers. But I also think we all continue to learn from each other in here in various ways, and thats what makes this site so worth~while.
Dante, but you could make somewhat of a "ton" off of it. Your getting more knowledgeable all of the time by learning more about sports, more about different types of wagers, more about different ways to cover you bet....Experience and knowledge are going to help you a lot, especially in here. One thing that helps tremendously Dante, which you may or may not already know, is fantasy games. Either fantasy football, baseball, etc. helps you learn soooooo much more about the players and the game, its unreal.

broken tv sets, screaming every curse word imaginable at the top of my lungs, telling her to get lost when she wants to talk seemingly always at the end of a ballgame with about 2 minutes left!

Of course we EXPECT to win...that's why we keep gambling over and over again.
And besides even if we don't it's the best entertainment VALUE on the market for your money.
Where else can you get excited and be on the edge of your seat for 2-3 hours during a game you wagered on?

Lose is no longer a word used in my dictionary. In order to win you have to go threw the learning process ala losing. Many people mainly squares lose most of the time when they bet. This we know. Im sure when many of us started out we lost till we learned this skill called being sharp. You learn with the hits. Refuse to lose gents.

IMhumbleO, I feel the very nature or laying your bucks down is expecting some back. Only thing is, we are (or at least should be)real enough to understand that it's not 100% of the times you'll get back but you will still expect back 100% of the times you gamble. Part of gambling to me, is the fun in rooting for the team. I bet what I can lose. I keep it simple.
