The product we made at the plant I worked at most of my career is used in many low calorie diet foods. Mostly things like cereals, candies, jellies, ice cream etc. The product is called polydextrose. It’s basically a sweetener but has 0 calories. I’d be willing to bet everyone here has at least one item in their home that contains polydextrose. It was developed by Pfizer,

Hasn’t everyone at one time or another worked at McDonalds lol. At least from our era. I worked at one for 3 weeks in Santa Ana back in the early 80’s during a dark time in my life.

Kudos for working your way up to owning your own business. The American Dream achieved.

I worked as a freelance person..worked for maybe 50 different companies over my first career...great way to mix it up and if it didn't go well i never had to work for that company again...loved it.

I own my compnay outright now and choose projects i want or am interested in..the mark-up potental is also a big factor in taking on projects.

My first official job was a stockboy at W. T. Grant department store. $1.60/ hour. Those were the days.

My first was a busboy...bartended a bunch too while i established myself...

Bartending was a kick..met lots of fun young ladies from behind the bar.

Been on my own since 2002 . Pool construction and service . East end Long Island . Prior to that military and before that golf caddie and various restaurant work dishwasher prep cook . I prefer being outside .my daughter bartends crazy money she loves it better then serving with that bullshit pool your tips with the losers that don’t bring there A game. You always knew who earned there place in a restaurant or anywhere boy shit has changed not a fan of rewarding shit workers
